Thank you for taking the time to look at my C.V.
I’m a qualified and experienced mariner with wide ranging experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.
At present I’m contracted to Wood Group Engineering onboard the North Sea based cylindrical FPSO Sevan Voyageur as Marine Area Authority.
Previously to this I was employed as the Lead Marine Technician / Senior DPO onboard Maersk Oil & Gas’s purpose built harsh environment FPSO Global Producer III.
I have operational experience with both Alstom & Kongsberg DP systems and have had the pleasure of working on most of the worlds oil producing countries.
I am highly skilled, motivated and experienced in all aspect of marine and offshore operations, particularly dynamic positioning, tanker operations, commissioning / de-commissioning projects, dry docking, supervision of tank cleaning, confined space entry, shuttle tanker operations, first line maintenance, health and safety, risk assessment and the management of multi disciplined offshore marine teams.

My role is to supervise and manage all marine operations and activities onboard the FPSO in a safe and well-planned manner.
My duties include but are not limited to
• Lead the Marine team, coach, motivate and develop individuals to achieve their full potential.
• Stand in as required as relief Operations Supervisor.
• Provide Marine Control Room watch-keeping duties, monitoring ballast, cargo, mooring, communication and utility systems.
• Implementing marine and deck activities by supervising and instructing the associated crews.
• Ensuring correct and accurate completion of all marine department reports as per company procedures and instructions.
• Supervise the loading and discharging of crude oil to shuttle tankers.
• Supervising hull stresses and maintaining vessel stability within pre-defined limits.
• Supervising the operation of power management and production support systems and equipment.
• Supervising the monitoring and co-ordination of vessels and aircraft inside the vessels 500mtr zone.
• Supervising the control of vessel system UAS, ESD and F&G inhibits and overrides.
• Ensuring marine verification routines and activities are completed in a well planned and efficient manner.
• Originating work permits, safety checklists, task risk assessments and supporting documentation for all marine and deck work scopes.
• Running the installations SSOW and final signature on all issued permits as Permit Co-ordinator and Area Authority.

During night shift and in periods of the Barge Masters absence I was in full control of all marine systems. I was part of the Leadon oil filed de-commissioning, Construction phase and Dumbarton oil field commissioning team.
My duties included;
• Implementing marine activities by supervising and instructing the crews in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensuring correct and accurate completion of all marine department data and reports.
• Assisting with the supervision of loading, storage and discharge of crude oil cargo.
• Assisting with the supervision of crude oil washing, tank cleaning and gas freeing for tank entry and inspection
