1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
I have viewed in my web searches your advertisement for several oil and gas vacancies and I would like to apply for the position of a QS/Contracts Administrator. I may not be qualified in a Senior role but I guess you have as well openings on other related positions.
Presently, I am working as a Quantity Surveyor with ERSAI Caspian Contractor LLC in Kuryk, Kazakhstan on their various contracts in the Kashagan Field Development Project. Although I am satisfied with my present position, I have always been hopeful to be of service with other multi-national company that will afford me greater opportunity on further enhancing my competency in the energy and oil & gas sector.
I have been exposed to the works both in the field and office in my more than ten years of experience as Civil Engineer. My current work functions are much more contractor-oriented tasks but I already had working experience on a client-side role back in Qatar wherein my work basic duties include contract administration and handling of subcontractor invoices, variation & claims and take-off of quantities from drawings with reference to specification and other related documents. Such are adequately detailed in my attached resume. My international experience in the oil and gas industry is still relatively short at 4 years, but I believe that I am competent enough for the post having the flexibility to a multi-task working environment and fast learning ability.
