CAREER SUMMARY:

• Work on Instruments and/or system consists of evaluation of the instrumentation system used for process monitoring and/or controls and alarm systems.

• Perform Site/Factory Testing (SAT/FAT), testing and commissioning of instrumentations, electronics and electrical equipments, DCS system, PLC system, Emergency Shutdown System, Fire & Gas System, GMDSS System, PA/GA, PABX, Entertainment System, Environmental System, R102 Galley System, CO2 System, Water Mist System, Echo Sounder, & Driller’s Talkback System. Calibration of instruments such as; load cell, tank gauging sensor/transducer, tyco control valves, ultrasonic and magnetic flow instruments.

• Vessel Monitoring System (VMS), Engine Monitoring, Tank Level Sensing, Remote HPU Valves (Tank Pre-load & Dump), Miscellaneous Alarms, Bilge System, Water Tight Doors, ESD Shutdown, Bulk System (Mud/Cement Tank).

• Supervised and conduct installation of instruments, field calibration, loop checking, pre-commissioning, functional testing, commissioning / start-up and maintenance of process measurements and control instruments.

• Inspect, troubleshoot & calibrate various types of mechanical, Electro-pneumatic control instruments and electronic control system through interfacing with DCS, PLC & VMS. Control instrument commonly used in automatic control process system like flow, pressure, liquid, levels, analyzers, speed rotating machine, vibration and temperature control system instrument. Install pneumatic lines, cables & wirings as necessary. Test and calibrate various types of mechanical, electro-pneumatic transducers, transmitters, indicators & controllers which regularly involve integration of components such as input/output of the transmitter, computing relays, combining relays, and characterizing relays to affect simultaneous controls of air, fuel, steam & water flow, liquid levels utilizing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & electro-pneumatic.

• Established work methods, production controls, and quality assurance performance standards. Prepare calibration responsibility, determinations, material deficiency reports, technical order, and improvement reports.

• Perform Site/Factory Acceptance Testing. Study and implement vendor drawing as per project requirements. Perform inspection of incoming electrical/instrument equipments and materials. Ensure the materials and/or degree of protection is always well maintained as per project requirements and traceable to international standards. Ensure all records & documentations and prepared in the correct fashion for submission by the sub-contractor, suppliers & manufacturers such that full traceability is always well maintained.

• Supervision and control a team of commissioning technicians for all the electrical/instrumentation systems.
• Attend & witness Full Jacking trials of jack up rigs to test the upper limits.
• Attend & witness sea trial, black out test & Integrated Drilling Testing.
