I am an entrepreneurial and pro-active professional with a methodical approach to planning and organizing in order to meet the group’s goals. I understand what is important to the client and contractor in the business relationship and am able to negotiate to an agreement based on mutual expectations.

With regards to the client and contractor perspective in operations I have a complete understanding of what is required having worked for operators and also an oil major.

I am well networked in the South East Asian region and I am also the IMCA representative for the Remote Systems and ROV Division Asia Pacific.

I have worked as sole charge Country Manager in Houston running a diving operation and more recently have been instrumental in developing an ROV division in Singapore to operate 8 ROV’s.

I have a proven ability to work independently when necessary and also to build and encourage a team to fulfill group requirements.

With excellent interpersonal and communicative skills and an energetic and dynamic approach to the role, I believe I am capable of developing new areas and establishing structure to enable real growth.

I am currently mid way through my Global MBA and enthusiastically looking for a significant challenge where I can exercise my strategic skills and create real value for an organization by building an effective complimentary team

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

Business Development Director:

Responsible for the development of business for the East operations group assets which include, Marine Support Vessels, Diving Systems, ROV’s and engineering services.

Geographically responsible for regions from India east to New Zealand, networking and marketing the group’s capabilities with multi tier clients, searching for and establishing operator agreements within certain countries and liaising with the commercial department to assist in winning relevant bids.

Supporting the effective and timely management of tender process ensuring relevant parties are engaged, information gathered and reviewed by account managers and other stakeholders.

Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders ensuring that Hallin Marine is represented in a positive, professional manner.

Identifying opportunities and changes in the industry and undertaking competitor analysis and preparing business plans for entry into new regional markets.

Project Manager:

Tasked with developing the division to operate 8 work-class ROV systems.

I managed a phased introduction into operations of the ROV assets manufactured in house. Securing ROV contracts and managing the profit and loss for the division was my responsibility. All stages of the project cycle was managed from contract award to project completion. The recruitment of the right people to sustain this growth was also my responsibility.

Attention to detail on the invoicing and billing cycle and regular discussion with the clients in order to ensure a positive cash flow was important in the start up phase of this division.

Country Manager:

Responsible for all aspects of the Dive Support Vessel operations in the Gulf of Mexico, specifically; crewing, HSE, liaison with local suppliers, liaison with the client and providing assistance in preparing the Scope of Work and methodologies for performing the works.

Responsible for the P&L so local sourcing of logistics was required to control costs. This contract required a self reliant, resourceful approach to managing operations remote from head office.

Projects Coordinator and Projects Manager engaged by PT Indospec Asia (PT Singgar Mulia from 2001 to Dec 2006) for contract to ConocoPhillips Indonesia Incorporated. Main tasks included;

Integrity Management

Responsible for the total risk mitigation measures for the WNTS network including development of the Quantitative Risk Assessment to define the acceptable risk limits of operation and to implement cost effective risk mitigation measures as defined by the operations team. These measures included the overall operation of a three-vessel pipeline patrol in Indonesian waters in the Singapore Strait and the development of the risk mitigation studies used for quantifying the risk. During this time significant OPEX reductions were made from the implementation of my initiatives.

Project Coordinator on the emergency repair works for the 2” leak at SSTI-N, 400 kilometres from Singapore and part of a team instrumental in bringing WNTS back to full pre leak capacity.

Development of the periodical sub-sea inspection plan and subsequently the risk based inspection plan for the 650-kilometre West Natuna Transportation System (28” gas pipeline from Natuna Sea to Pulau Sakra, Jurong Island, Singapore).

I was involved with negotiations with the Indonesian Government and associated agencies in presenting the case to obtain the necessary funding for projects.

Support to the senior management providing technical advice and showing leadership to ensure that an integrated Client/Contractor team was seamless and delivered the project goals under budget and on time.

Managing of contractors and other external parties related to sub-sea activities and the control and management of expenditure on projects.

Responsible for the implementation of HSE policies relating to all operations.

¬¬¬Responsible for the Contractor Performance Management process.

Interfacing with upstream and downstream departments to ensure standardisation of process and procedures.

Technical representative liaising with all stakeholders including but not limited to legislative bodies, partners and contractors
