• Read and comprehend the project specification
• Read and comprehend the manufacturer’s product data sheets(For each product that will be used on a project)
• Read and comprehend the coating manufacturer’s Material Saftey Data Sheets(for each coating that will be used on a project)
• Attend and participate in the pre-job conference
• Prepare an inspection procedure for the project
• Verify instrument operation and accuracy
• Verify the adequacy of lighting for surface preparation, coating Application and inspection activities
• Verify protective coverings/masking are installed
• Measure ambient conditions and surface temperature and verify Conformance to the PDS and project specification
• Verify the cleanliness of compressed air (if employed for surface Cleaning, dust removal or spray equipment)
• Verify removal of grease, oil and/or related contaminants(Soluble salts)
• Verify the correct abrasive is on-site and stored properly
• Establish a project-specific cleanliness standard prior to Production surface preparation

The Key Job Responsibilities are:

Surveillance Inspection for ongoing Blasting and Painting activities
Recording the required Surface preparation Information that includes, Method used, Original Substrate condition, abrasive type, degree of cleanliness required and achieved, profile achieved
Testing the salt contamination in the substrates using chloride test kit, curing test & adhesion test by using dollies
Recording the work, times of starting & completion, WFT & resulting DFT check for the applied coating
Recording the paint batch nos , product reference number, expiry date, color , reference number of thinners and the incoming materials and batch certificates
Witness all the blasted surface prior to apply primer, MID coats& final coats
Ensuring the correct paint system for the right operating temperature and the different substrates.
Pre-final inspection prior to raise the final inspection request.
Final inspection with the main contractor and client.
Preparation of final documentation & submission.
Responsible for all aspects of applications as per the site specifications, monitoring and observations plus ensuring the daily tool box talks and safety practice compliances are in place, also achieving the correct procedures for raising work permits and associated documents.

Industrial coating ( Piping / pipe line coating assigned for the inspection and supervision of critical blasting/coating activities in Saudi Aramco's various oil producing facilities such as Abqaiq plant. Gas plant, GOSPS and Pipe lines.
Conducted blasting and coating Inspection as per Saudi Aramco's Engineering Standards and Procedures under the supervision of Saudi Aramco's inspection department.
