1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Over eight years of process engineering experience. I have participated in all stages of a project, proposal, basic and detail design. Practical experience such as simulation and optimization for Sweetening, Fractionation, Condensate Stabilization, Desalter Units, Crude Distillation Units, LPG Units, Sour Water Stripping Units, and Compressor Stations Units using HYSYS. Design both TEG and Amine system using PRO II and DYSIM respectively. I performed thermal rating calculation using HTRI software for bottleneck exchangers. Used HEXTRAN to optimize preheat train exchangers such as residue-crude exchanger, bottom-crude exchanger, and top-crude exchanger. Flare network sizing and flare radiation calculation and domination on FLARENET software. Heavily involvement in sizing of pipelines, equipments, control valves, pumps and relief valves. Depressurization and relief load calculation. Preparing PFD and heat & material balance tables. Preparing and developing P&IDs. Participating in HAZOP meetings and implementing HAZOP actions. Preparing technical specifications and equipment data sheets. I am familiar with chemical engineering handbook and standards like API, TEMA, GPSA and reviewing and checking vendor documents. I am able to work on own initiative or as part of a team. Plant experience with Valero FCC Units involves providing engineering support in the field and ran simulation (reactors and regeneration unit) to meet octane specification. Provide Man-hour estimate on feed and lump sum project. Chevron ANGOLA natural gas plant experience: involve six months start-up and commissioning/taken picture of tie in points for 30%, 70% 90% 3D model review.

Work History:

Rehabilitation project of Nafter Spa
Skikda Refinery, Algeria.
• Analyzed and evaluated feedstock characteristics (Hassi Massaoud Crude Assay) provided by Naftec for Skikda refinery revamp process (424,000 bpd). Used HYSYS simulation to model the desalter unit, CDU unit (2 trains), and LPG Gas (Merox Unit) to met specifications on the following product.
o Naphtha A TBP Cut
o Naphtha B, TBP Cut
o Naphtha C, TBP Cut
o Kerosene TBP Cut
o Light Gas Oil TBP Cut
o Heavy Gas Oil TBP Cut
o Atmospheric Residue TBP Cut
• Evaluated existing acid water stripper unit for new service requirements to handle an increase acid water feed rate from the CDU revamp process.
• Adequacy checks on heat exchangers, pumps, coolers, condensers, vessel, ATM Heaters and splitter towers.
• Developed temperature and pressure profile for both CDU unit and Desalter unit.
• Performed PSV unbalance heat calculations on existing crude tower, Naphtha splitter columns, and several other towers in gas plant with (High Integrity safety pressure) HISP system in place.
• Used HEXTRAN to perform pinch analysis on preheat train.

Jubail Export Refinery, Saudi Arabia
• Flare Study: Used flarenet to develop a hydraulic model of the flare header system for both the Delayed Coking Unit and Caustic Merox Unit. These systems were evaluated to determine both the sub-header and the main header sizes required for adequate disposal of relief loads from these systems.
• Evaluated all required relief loads (RRL’s) from various overpressure scenarios associated to these units.
• Used Flarenet hydraulic to model evaluate and met header maximum backpressure (MHBP) of 2.59 BARA as defined by client in the FEED package.

Oil & Gas Process Engineer: YEMEN LNG
● Prepared FEED, pre-FEED studies to execute the project.
● Carried out simulation programs (i.e. HYSYS), for both steady and unsteady state, used to analyze alternatives to optimize the Plant performances and process design (i.e. LNG production maximization selecting compressor curves, pump curves and optimization of the Mixed Refrigerant compositions for De-ethanizer Tower.
● Performed detail engineering, equipment selection and provide some guidance to project teams concerning the value impact on an overall Yemen LNG facility and across the entire LNG value chain. Perform dynamic depressurization calc to obtain loads across the blow down valve to the flare. (Blowdown study/Depressurization Study).
● Performed detail hydraulics on pumps; size, rate and design aluminum Heat Exchangers with additional 10% service requirement.
● Performed preliminary PSV calculations during detailed engineering phase.

● Responsible for carrying out necessary process design functions required for conceptual development. Evaluate Tie-in point feeds from existing offshore facility to new gas plant. Perform & ran HYSYS simulation, AMINE &TEG TSWEET simulation, to design and specify process equipments for upstream oil and gas production facilities. Perform Relief Device calculation on Towers like C3/C4 Splitter Column, Debutanizer Column, and Deethanizer Column to prevent over-pressurization using Chevron Texaco 5057 Overpressurization standard. Used HYSYS simulation to evaluate and perform steady states/dynamic depressurization calculation.
● Responsible for heat and material balance, the developed process flow diagrams (PFDs), (P&IDs), system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment and equipment such as heat exchangers, vessels, NGL Heater, pump and towers. Responsible for the development of process simulators and advanced controls/process optimization.

● Review the preliminary PFD’s/P&ID’s, Heat & Material Balances, and Equipment sizing and specifications previously submitted and incorporate agreed changes from the “as-sold” design. Review process datasheets on all instrumentation. Finalize hydraulics and line sizes in and out of equipment. Perform detail engineering on equipment protected by PSV/RD. Utility summary was finalized and the necessary study was conducted to ensure performance of the unit. Operating requirements and data was developed for input to QAFCO.

650 MMSCFD Cryogenic Gas Processing Plant, Enterprise Production Operating LP.- Meeker Gas Plant – Rio Blanco County, Colorado.
● Meeker Gas Plant is a refluxed, turbo-expander type cryogenic gas processing plant equipped with gas treating, dehydration, and liquids stabilization (NGL and Condensate) systems.
● Responsible for developing simulation, PFDs/P&IDs, system hydraulic, preparation pump calculation, line sizing, perform over pressure analysis.
● Unit operations equipment sizing and data sheet preparation.

● Specialized in, design relief devices and improved process technology for the wet treatment, drying, and grinding of TiO2 for pigment applications use.
● Recommended and implemented improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
● Provided engineering support to operations working with various teams to improve the performance of the equipment in the plant.
● Assisted improvement projects that focus on defect reduction as well as opportunity improvements to achieve increased earning, process efficiency and capacity for the TiO2 manufacturing operations. Identified, define and assisted projects to completion with functional, site, customer and business teams.
● Worked with the operating and technical services organizations to safely operate, maintain and optimize the facilities. Coordinate efforts to improve efficiencies and reduce operating costs.
● Designed and sized relief devices, rupture disc, steam valve with rising jacket, control valve, level transmitter, Vapor compression refrigeration, slurry tanks, drain tanks, blowers and heat exchangers following S3P standard and DuPont ASME standards. Used RVPAC, FATHOM PRGRAMM for pressure drop calculations including Aspen HYSYS for modeling.

● Experimental mechanics on polymers, film permeability coatings, high performance fibers, deformation, and composite materials, micro-structural modeling, rubber elasticity, thermodynamics, theory, effect of moisture absorption on the thermal properties films, metalized polypropylene film in capacitors.
● Studied sulphur-prevulcanized and vulcanized latex of high modulus, medium modulus and low modulus from compound preparation. Analyzing the tensile strength properties of films against curing time.
● Using a styrene swelling, polymerization experimental technique to compare result films made from pre-vulcanized latex with post vulcanized latex. Studying casting, leached film of vulcanized Latex.
● Prepared chloroform coagulant (Protecting Coating Material) for dipping processes in which Occlusion test is run after-worth to determine the performances and fatigues before gamma radiation process.
● Gel Permeation chromatography (GPC) polymer blend analysis from a raster-deposited matrix-assisted laser desorption and ionization target. Determine the molecule chemical composition analysis. Study molecular weight distribution in the column.
● Designed and conducted process development studies and latex rubber experiment to troubleshoot problems, introduce new equipment and pilot process research, and new product introduction.
● Provided technical assistance to Quality Assurance and FDA Regulatory Compliance personnel in regards to new products, processes, and procedures set up.

● The multiple challenges of meeting fuel specifications and upgrading low value streams, such as LCO and heavy naphtha, call for a comprehensive understanding of various hydro-processing options.
● Hydrotreating of FCCU feedstock to remove sulphur, nitrogen, metal, and other contaminant
content from FCCU feedstock.
- Observe FCCU performance requirement which includes:
-Higher naphtha yield and quality
-Lower LCO production and improve LCO sulphur, density, and cetane
-Lowering coke made
-Reduce FCCU SOx and NOx emissions.

● Used Aspen HYSYS simulation to optimize CFHDT catalyst selection and operating condition to increase the percentage HDS (High Diesel Sulphur) and adjust cat naphtha end point to meet target specification. Hydrogenating FCCU feed to lower olefins and aromatic naphtha.
● -Study second alternative by treating the feed produce by FCCU by applying hydrotreating to the to the heavy cat naphtha (HCN) to meet EPA specifications.
● -Aspen HYSYS fire case scenario by iterating stream values and operating the FCCU in a way to minimize sulphur content in the product streams.
