2009-2010 Attique Investments – Director
Company was involved in the business of mining and I was a founding shareholder. I disposed of my shareholding in line with the provisions of the Shareholders’ Agreement, which gave right of first refusal to my fellow shareholders, in July 2010 and relocated with the family to Nigeria in September 2010.

2007-2008 Rubber Products Manufacturers – Finance Director
Company used to be a subsidiary of Dunlop Zimbabwe but was taken over by management through a Management Buyout in 2005. It is involved in the manufacture of non-tyre rubber products.
• Was in overall charge of the company’s finance department
• Was in charge of the company’s human resources
• Acted as Secretary to the Board of Directors
• Was overally in charge of the company’s investment decisions, be they on the stock market or the money market

2005-2006 Universal Life Assurance Company Limited – Finance Manager
• Responsible for the finance function of the organisation
• Acted as Company Secretary responsible for filing of statutory returns as well as Secretary to the Board of Directors
• Responsible for the preparation of management accounts and reports as well as final accounts and any attendant issues thereto
• Liaised with external auditors, bankers, clients and other regulatory authorities
• Was involved in a project to set up a new software for the Life business of the company
• Was in charge of the personnel function of the company including but not limited to recruiting, dismissal, performance appraisal and administration of other aspects of the Labour Relations Act.

2003-2005 Corporate Excellence – Senior Consultant
• Acted as Finance Manager to Batanai Capital Finance, a venture capital concern
• Acted as Finance Manager to Ricomat Investments, a closed-end equity fund
• Involved in the restructuring of balance sheets for different clients
• Involved in capital raising initiatives for various clients, including but not limited to, IPOs, Rights Issues and Private Placements. I was responsible for writing up the prospectuses and interacting with the relevant regulatory authorities in seeing the initiatives succeed.

2001-2002 National Discount House Holdings – Finance Manager
The NDH Group comprised of a Discount House, NDH Limited, a stock broking company, NDH Equities and Ludham Investments, an investment company. My duties and responsibilities included:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and accompanying reports
• Preparation of year-end accounts and financial reports
• Filing of requisite company returns
• Liaison with external auditors, bankers, revenue services and other regulatory authorities
• Review of subordinates’ work and performance appraisal of accounting staff.

1999-2001 National Discount House Holdings – Audit Manager
• Reporting to the Managing Director, I was responsible for setting up the audit department for the Group in line with a recently introduced directive of the Central Bank
• Established the Group’s Audit Charter in liaison with the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors
• Prepared work plans for the different business units
• Carried out substantive and compliance audit work on the units
• Supervised audit assistants and reviewed their work
• Prepared audit reports for the Audit Committee

1996-1999 KPMG Chartered Accountants (Zimbabwe) – Articles of Clerkship
• Planned, developed and implemented audit strategies for different organisations in different sectors of Industry and Commerce
• Prepared audit plans in consultation with engagement partners
• Executed audit procedures in a timely and budget conscious manner meeting set deadlines
• Prepared and presented audit reports to Board level, working with Audit Committees of different organisations
