Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the Safety & Security Operations.
Implementing and adhering procedures as per regulation worldwide known as INTERNATIONAL SHIP AND PORT FACILITY SECURITY CODE (ISPS)
Liason and coordinating with Port Facility Security Officer, Immigration, Customs, Coast Guard, Port State Control and various law enforcing agencies of different countries.
Planning, execution and monitoring of security and safety procedure laid down by company’s Ship Security Manual
Carry out security risk assessment, Investigation of security related matters Accidents/Incidents and making reports and submitting same to the Corporate shore Security Office in consent with onboard Staff Captain and Captain accordingly on situations like
• Theft
• Fighting
• Drug use
• Smuggling/Contraband
• Weapons
• Sexual Harassment
• Fraudulent Documents
Vigilance, planning and obtaining heightened security measures to avert threat to life and property on board ship
Supervising and escorting for the Personal Security of the MASTER (CAPTAIN) of the vessel during onboard public Events such as Formal and V I P Gala nights, Cocktails, Special events etc.
Supervising and coordinating Gangway operations such as profiling Passengers, and Crewmembers during Embarkation and transit ports, passport check, screening Baggage’s on X-Ray machine, metals archway detectors, having controls of Baggage’s of passenger and crew, on a software called BATMAN (Baggage Tracking Management system)
Assessing the sensitive areas of the ship such as RESTRICTED AREAS & VULNERABLE AREAS status and monitoring these areas with the help of CCTV System as well as maintain security patrol in regular intervals and maintaining the checklist for the same
To Prevent harboring Stowaways and illegal acts of terrorism onboard.
Maintenance of fire detection system as smoke detector, fire extinguisher alarm system and emergency signboards.
Recognition and identification of Weapons and Dangerous Substances, Equipments and Drugs.
Joining Formalities, Induction on Board Ship.
Ensuring that all the crewmembers follow proper safety procedure and use the Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) as per the Company Safety Manual.
Responsible for the Installation, Maintenance and Calibrations of all the Security Equipments and maintaining service records related documents and log Reports in security office
Lost and found procedures, cabin inspections and reporting.
Impart Security related Training for the crewmembers also Training Security Personnel as per the company Standard operating procedures i.e. Conduct of Shipboard Personnel and Application of Disciplinary Sanctions concerning use of Drug and Alcohol onboard.
Conducting Bomb Drills, Crowd and Crises, Evacuation, Safety and Security Drills and surveys as laid down in SHIP SECURITY MANUAL.
Assessing and carry out port and onboard security survey concerning acts of Terrorism, following up with contingency plan concerning Mar-sec threat Levels.
Conducting crew cabin inspections along with Department Head and Staff Captain, for Health sanitation, Safety and Security reasons.

Overall Security of the Airline and its Aircrafts.
Integrated the functioning of the security department.
Monitor C C T V Video Surveillance System at Bangalore Airport (Jet Airways Operational Area).
Co-ordinate with other agencies for Special Security Arrangements like Security Vigilance.
Organize rescue operations, Track, report & record incidents such as bomb threats, emergency notification, safety incident / occurrences, hijacking and sabotage at the airports.
