I am interested in your advertisement for an open position of Lead/ Senior Document Controller. I've worked for almost 10 years as a Document Controller in various oil and gas plant projects in Algeria, China, Saudi Arabia and currently here at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

I am presently working as a Lead Document Handling Team at Abu Dhabi Gas Company Ltd. (GASCO) IGD Habshan-5 Process Plant Project , Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, under JGC Corporation as the main contractor. I worked as a Document Controller / Chief Document Controller, Senior Document Controller at Saudi Arabia Bechtel Company and JGC Corporation respectively from my previous projects at Khursaniyah Gas Plant Project in Saudi Arabia , Nanhai Petrochemical Project in china and Ourhoud Exploration Project in Ourhoud , Algeria .

As you can see in the enclosed resume. I have a very strong background combined with over 9 years Work Experience in Execution and Implementation. My recent job at Major Construction like JGC Corporation and Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company, allowed me to further develop and strengthen my Technical skills. Position : Lead Document Controller

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives and distributes project documents/drawings based on the Document Distribution Matrix to appropriate departments and personnel as required.
• Access to INDRA and check released documents using searching function every morning and print-out list of new released documents.
• Make the distribution instruction table on the original list of new released documents and transfer it to FEM, file the same copy as a center file.
• Download electronic file of new released documents/drawings for printing in JSOC (JGC Site Operation Center) based on the list.
• Print-out new released documents as per list, check the page numbers and stamp on documents as Copy for JSOC Center File, submit list to the FEM, after indicating the destination of distribution on the list by FEM, the list shall be returned to the DHT for further additional copy and distribution of the documents with transmittal to sub-contractor and the list is being kept at the DHT section for record/file.
• Registers, logs, distributes, tracks, issues, maintains and controls office and offsite project documents and drawings.
• Maintain the metadata of project documents accurately and constantly such as: number, title, revision, status, etc. in accordance with document management system processes and procedures.
• Incorporates documents into library and back up sets of documents / drawings as requested.
• Ensures that sub-contractors comply with the document management system process and procedures.
• Expedites and tracks the status of all documents reviewed internally by the Project.
• Maintains and controls filing system for Field Change Sheets, Technical Queries, Method Statements.
• Works closely with Field Engineering group in all matters relating to document control.
• Maintain a transmittal log, ensuring traceability of the document distribution system.

• Create and maintain project master file.
• Verify document information, number and register documents.
• Control document revisions and distribute documents and reports.
• Upload into the Project Management System (INFOWORKS) all Field Change Notice (FCN), Request for Information/Technical Query (RFI/TQ), Field Change Request (FCR) and other Pertinent Documents.
• Downloads Drawings/Documents from the Project Management System (INFOWORKS).
• Maintain records for client turnover/Bechtel retention.
