Opened the Houston and USA business development operations to pursue engineering services contracts for EESL in offshore, upstream, downstream, and power industries. EESL is part of the large Essar Group with major operations based in India including refineries, steel plants, independent power plants, ports/logistics, communications and EPC projects.
HEEREMA FABRICATION GROUP ENGINEERING (HFG ENGINEERING) , Houston, TX 2007-2009
Vice President Business Development – International EPCI Projects and Engineering Services
* Joined the company just after HFG had completed the purchase of a Houston/New Orleans based engineering services company and renamed it as HFG Engineering (HFGE).
* Developed and implemented the Strategic Marketing & Sales plan including detailed budgets and forecasts to introduce HFG and HFGE to the international client companies based in the USA and Houston area.
* Initiated and developed new client relationships including Chevron, Conoco Phillips, BP, Marathon, DCP Midstream, Williams, BHP, Anadarko, EPCO, Hess and others in pursuit of EPCI and T&M engineering services contracts.
* Represented and coordinated with HFG in pursuit of EPCI contracts for large international offshore upstream projects.
* Succeeded in prequalifying HFGE with clients and established Master Service Agreements (MSA) to provide engineering services for conceptual studies, pre-FEED, FEED and detailed engineering.

Worked on several large international offshore projects and project proposals for Indonesia (Husky), Thailand (Unocal), Equitorial Guinea (Hess), Nigeria (Chevron) and Angola (Chevron).
DAEWOO SHIPBUILDING AND MARINE ENGINEERING (DSME), Houston, TX. 2003-2005
Senior Project Manager – Benguela Belize Project (Angola) for ChevronTexaco
Contracted to represent and lead DSME as the Prime EPCI Contractor on this $800million project. The project was the third Compliant Piled Tower (CPT) in the world and first outside the Gulf of Mexico. The project was awarded Project of Year 2005 by the National Offshore Industry Association. The project consisted of the CPT (50,000 tons) in 1280 feet of water with a 220,000 BOD topsides (45,000 ton) with 20inch, 16inch, and 10inch gas, oil and water pipelines tieing into other existing facilties. DSME had as many as 10 major subcontractors operating around the world including but not limited to Mustang Engineering for the CPT, KBR for the topsides, Keiwit Offshore Services for fabrication, Gulf Marine Fabricators for fabrication, Sonamet for fabrication in Angola, DSME Offshore Division for fabrication of topsides, Heerema Marine Contractors for Installation, Stolt Offshore for Pipelines and AG&P for Hook Up and Commissioning. The project had up to 2500 personnel working (24-7) around the world. The project was completed in Nov 2005.
INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT, Houston, TX. 1999 – 2003.
Contracted by various international clients to provide market research, assist with developing business strategy and related consulting services for the Southeast Asia and Gulf of Mexico market regions concerning engineering, construction, engineered packaged equipment, and operations services for the offshore/onshore energy, power, oil, and gas industries. Also provided USA representation for companies needing assistance in developing power and energy projects in SE Asia needing project financing and EPC services .

Start-up company that manufactured newly patented gas turbine mobile co-generation units and other gas turbine power generation packaged units utilized for energy service company contracts, project development, and / or equipment sales opportunities for independent distributed power and co-generation plants in 1.0 MW to 15 MW range.
* Successfully developed and implemented strategic business and marketing / sales plan, reporting to President & CEO.
