Since last ten years I am working for Hyundai Heavy Industries, and live in ULSAN, South Korea.

Process Engineering:
-Detail Process Design, verification of FEED and Basic Engineering Package, Conceptualization of process flow scheme, Development and preparation of Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Utility Flow Diagram (UFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID).
-Heat and material balance calculation and process simulation by using simulator HYSYS.

Presently working for Bongkot Ph 4A PPS Platform Project as Sub-Lead Process Engineer for entire detail design activities at HHI ULSAN office for Client PTTEP/TOTAL/BG Consortium.
PPS Platform is for Bongkot Ph 4A Field development project in Thailand offshore will comprise major facility.
-Wellfluid receiving, blending and 3 phase Separation of Gas, condensate and Produced water.
-Gas Compression by 2 Trains of Booster & Export Compressor (260 MMscfd x2 trains) with common driver Gas Turbine, WHRU, Heating Medium etc.
- UOP CO2 Removal Process in between booster and esport compressor, Metering, Export.
-Condensate Separation, Treatment, Stabilization, Metering and Exporting (18000 BOPD).
- Produced water Treatment of 20000 BWPD capacity for re-injection in wells.
- Power Generation (3 x 7.5 MW Gas Turbine Generators), and other utilities..

HHI carry out complete detail design, procurement, fabrication, installation and Commissioning work as EPIC contractor for this project.

My major work is to lead a process team of about 12 to 14 process engineers for complete process engineering activity and preparation of process engineering deliverables, like PFD / UFD , MSD, PSD/USD, P&Ids, Line List, Equipment Datasheet, Equipment List, Instrument Datasheet, PSV Sizing Calculation Report, Utility Summary, Flare and Vent Hydraulic in FLARENET & Radiation Study in FLARESIM, SAFE Chart, ESD Logic Diagram, Process and Utility System Functional Description.
Major P&IDs involved in this Process is – Inlet Receiving, Pig Receivers and manifolds, Separation, Gas Compression, UOP CO2 removal process-SeparexTM including UOP TSA Memguard system and Mercury Removal Process GB-562TM, Gas Metering & Pig Launcher, Produced Water Treatment and Water Injection, Fuel Gas system, Heating Medium, Seawater, Vent & Flare , Utility & Instrument Air , Fire water, Open & Closed Drain System etc.
- Process Calculation related to sizing of equipments, lines, control valves, PSVs, Restriction Orifices, Utility balances, Pipeline Depressurization etc.

Since March 2008 to April’2009

Worked for USAN FPSO Project Hull Process design as Sub-lead Process Engineer for FEED Endorsement and Detail design activities at Ulsan office for Client ELF Petroleum Nigeria Limited (TOTAL Project).
USAN FPSO shall be located in USAN Field offshore Nigeria and will have design life 25 yrs, production, storage and offloading facility, fixed orientation by fixed mooring system in 4x4 configuration.
Production capacity: Oil production: 185 kbopd, Total Storage capacity : 1,760,000 bbls
and Offloading capacity : 6600 m3/hr.

My major work was to lead a process team of about 6 to 8 process engineers for complete process engineering activity and preparation of process engineering deliverables of FPSO Hull , AFT machinery space all system P&Ids , like – Cargo, Wash Tank, Continuous Setting Tank, Produced Water Treatment Buffer Tank Ballast , Slop , Hydraulic Oil , Inert Gas , Close Vent , Seawater Cooling , Fresh water & Potable water , Service & Instrument Air , Diesel Oil , Bilge & Scupper as per project specification.

Worked for OFON Process Platform Project as Lead Process Engineer for FEED Endorsement and detail design activities along with engineering sub-contractor DORIS at Paris office for Client ELF Petroleum Nigeria Limited (TOTAL Project).
OFON Ph II Platform is for OFON Field development project in Nigeria will comprise major facility.
-Oil Separation, treatment, metering and export (capacity : 105700 bpd)
-Gas Compression by LP Compressor (7 MMSCFD), 2 Trains of MP & HP Compressor (70 MMscfd x2) of variable speed motor driven.
- Gas Dehydration, Metering, Export, Gas Lift etc.
- Produced water Treatment of 100000 BWPD capacity for water injection
- Power Generation (3 x 27 MW Gas Turbine Generators), WHRU, Heating Medium, Seawater and other utilities.
HHI to carry out complete detail design, procurement, fabrication, installation and Commissioning work as EPC contractor for this project.
Major work was to control overall process engineering activity, preparation of process engineering deliverables, like PFD / UFD , MSD, P&Ids , Equipment Datasheet, Instrument Datasheet, Utility Summary, Flare and Vent Hydraulic & Radiation Study, SAFE Chart, ESD Logic Diagram, Process and Utility System Functional Description. Worked for AKPO FPSO HULL project for TOTAL at HHI Ulsan yard for detail process engineering activities and technical support to commissioning and start-up team.

Since March 2005 to Feb’2007
Worked for Escravos Gas Project Phase 3A ( EGP3A) Project as Lead Process Engineer for entire detail design activities at ULSAN and technical support to commissioning and start-up team of EGP-3A Projects (Meji GGCP and Okan NWP) of Chevron Nigeria Limited Company.
Meji Gas Gathering and Compression Platform (GGCP) will compress 70 MMscfd associated gas from 4.2 barg to 85 barg and transport to pipeline. And OKAN New Wellhead Platform (NWP) is 9 slot wellheads of total capacity 450 MMscfd and produced well fluid goes to Onshore via 20” pipeline. HHI carried out complete detail design, procurement, fabrication, installation and Commissioning work as EPC contractor for this project.
Major work was to lead a process team of about 8 to 10 process engineers for complete process engineering activity and preparation of process engineering deliverables, like PFD / UFD , MSD, P&Ids , Equipment Datasheet, Instrument Datasheet, Utility Summary, Flare and Vent Hydraulic & Radiation Study, SAFE Chart, Cause &Effect Chart etc, Process and Utility System Functional Description. Major P&IDs involved in this Process is – Gas Compression, TEG Gas Dehydration, Gas Metering, Pig Launcher, Fuel Gas system, Well head Production Manifold and Test Separator, Process Gas Compressor & Turbines, Vent & Flare , Utility & Instrument Air , Fire water & Foam , Open & Closed Drain System etc.

-Support to site commissioning team for resolving commissioning and start-up issues.

Overall project was very successful for HHI and Chevron.

August 2001 to Feb’2005
Worked for KIZOMBA ‘A’ and KIZOMBA ‘B’ FPSO project along with topside engineering subcontractor AMEC FLUOR DANIEL and Client Exxon Mobil at HOUSTON , USA office and at HHI Ulsan yard as Lead Process engineer for detail process engineering activities and technical support to commissioning and start-up team. Each FPSO will be producing 250,000 bbl/day of crude oil at Angola Block 15. HHI was EPC2 contractor for building both the FPSOs including hull.

Was involved in all major process engineering activities and technical discussion with Client Exxon Mobil and topside engineering sub-contractor Amec Fluor Daniel, for preparation of following documents and interfacing with Hull process design team.
FPSO Topside Production module all system PFD / UFD , MSD, P&Ids , like – Production Manifold , Test Manifold , Bullheading, Offspec Oil, Pig Launcher and Receiver, HP, IP & LP Oil & Gas Separation , Oil Dehydrator , Gas Compression , TEG Gas Dehydration and TEG Regeneration , Heating Medium , Vent & Flare , Cooling Water , Fuel Gas , Utility & Instrument Air , Gas Turbine Generator , Chemical Injection and Methanol Injection, Fire water & Foam , Open & Closed Drain System etc.

-Participated HAZOP study committee and all the recommendations were resolved and incorporated in design.

Overall both the project was very successful for HHI and ExxonMobil. Both the projects were delivered before schedule and first oil production started earlier than original schedule.

Assisted Marketing Dept for FEED Verification Work and preparation of technical Proposal for AGBAMI FPSO Project of CHEVERON Nigeria offshore. Major work was complete review of Process documents like, Hissy simulation, PFD / UFD with Material Balance, P&ID review, preparation of Engineering Query explaining deficiency of design and short coming of facility and recommended solution for Company review and Approval, and finally prepared FEED Verification Report.

June 2000- July’ 2001
Assisted Marketing Dept for preparation of technical Proposal for ERHA FPSO Project of EXXON MOBIL Nigeria offshore. Major work was to prepare equipment datasheets for all topside equipments and updating of PFD / UFD and P&ID to include in proposal by HHI.

Dec 2000- May’ 2001
Completed basic and detail process engineering work for AMENAM KPNO FSO Project for TOTAL ELEF as a process engineer to complete design of crude loading, storage and offloading, ballasting , firewater system, utility system and power generation systems of the 200,000 DWT FSO for Nigeria.
Prepared FSO Topside module and Hull deck all system PFD / UFD , P&Ids , like – Inlet Manifold, Cargo Loading & Offloading, Ballast, Slop, Inert Gas & Vents, Tank Cleaning, Fresh water & Potable water, Diesel Oil, Heating Medium , Cooling Water , Fuel Gas , Utility & Instrument Air , Gas Turbine Generator , Fire water & Foam , Open & Closed Drain System etc.

TERRA NOVA FPSO-Vessel Project ( 180,000 DWT vessel ) – A project of Petro Canada for Terra Nova field , located at 350 km. East of St. John’s, Newfoundland.Terra Nova FPSO will be moored via an internal turret system and nine-point mooring spread. Production capacity : Oil production : 20,000 m3/day Storage capacity : 960,000 bbls and Offloading capacity : 8000 m3/hr.
Approval Authority / Certification : Transport Canada / Lloyd / CSA.

This was conversion project from VLCC to FPSO.
