Position HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR
Responsibilities: Responsible for developing effective policies and procedures. Carrying out regular inspections and risk assessments as part of job
safety analysis for the development of safe working procedures. Investigate
accidents and recommending any improvements in safety standards . Writing reports and keeping accident records. Training employees on safety issues and advising on protective clothing and equipment. Working with Health & Safety
Executive inspectors and trade unions. Also the need to keep up to date with changes in the law. Carrying out job specific safety audits as part of integrated safe managing systems on a 24x7 continuous process operation. Responsible for carrying out site safety inductions training for new employees and contractors
Development of work method statements for the control of site services and contract work

Responsibilities: Responsible for organising crew members with the emphasis on Health & Safety by giving Health & Safety training to all staff, ensuring the efficient receipt of Finished Goods from production by developing systems to create an interface between sales production and warehouse by way of forward planning orders for despatch to the customer, effectively managing stock control system, supporting Manufacturing Team Leader on a daily basis and standing-in during his absence, controlling the flow of split requests from planning file through to table production ensuring the efficient operation of the Finished Goods Warehouse.

Responsibilities: Responsible for organising 3 Team Leaders and 10 Operators and all Warehouse and Shipping activities, raising relevant documentation to meet shipping and Health & Safety requirements, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the Finished Goods Warehouse by contributing the receiving and despatching of goods so as to meet the requirements of Customers both in the UK and Overseas, liaising with Sales and other disciplines within the Plant on Customer delivery needs, organising transport, taking an active part in Manufacturing Team Leader Group, including Duty Team Leader role in Evacuation Procedure.
Promotion: Warehouse Stock Controller/Trainer after 1 year.

2000 – 2003 Position: Finished Goods Team Leader
Responsibilities: Responsible for making sure all goods coming into Warehouse from Production etc do so in a controlled and safe manner, training personnel, checking orders, ensuring Crew is adhering to safe working practices and systems, attending PA Meetings, providing information, arranging transport to meet needs of customers, controlling flow of paperwork, operating PC/On-line systems recording/verifying stock movements, dealing with Reports, Daily Cycle Counts, Load Sheets, Recording all goods received etc, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and operating Health & Safety codes of practice at all times.
Promotion: Manufacturing Team Leader after 3 years.

Responsibilities: Based predominantly in the Warehouse involved in all aspects of Warehouse and production work including despatching orders, carrying out routine checks on all equipment and machinery used, operating to Health & Safety codes of practice at all times and dealing with all relevant paper work.
