Medical Doctor by profession, took training in offshore industries medical set up and undergone rig pass training to become a rig Medic in Qatar and then was transferred to West Africa as Ship Survey Doctor operating in Nigeria, Cameroon, Angola and Gabon for 2 years. I also took safetyman course in-house by Stolt offshore AS and was given a change to act as Safetyman as well in DP operations.

After two years stint with Stolt, I was transferred to Qatar and joined Secorp Industries, Qatar especiallizing in SCBA and Cascade equipment rentals. I was trained to be a H2S technician for 1 year and have dual role job in different international drilling companies such as Transocean, Nabors and Noble drilling as H2S tech and Doctor. I am also trained and certified ACLS and ITLS by STTA located in Johannesburg South Africa. Currently, I am working as temporary Pipelaying Barge Doctor in Allseas ship Tog Mor working in Trinidad and Tobago doing a pipeline job.

 Primarily responsible for the health care of onboard personnel ( medical check up, treatment of trauma cases )
 Carried out Medical Protocol in response to any emergency cases onboard and call assistance thru SOS International for possible disembarkation of personnel
 Responsible for maintenance and repair of air cascade system, BA sets on Drilling rig and oil platform. Trained as H2S instructor and has advance knowledge in all electronics H2S sensors( Defcon) related to H2S detection. Monitor weekly the Air Quality of the rig cascades incase of H2S blow out.
 Conduct weekly air quality test for rig cascade system and report to Oxy client for evaluation and action.
 Maintain Electric and Diesel compressors ( Bauer/ Kubota models), regular change of air filters, change oil and do AQT test on monthly basis/or after 100 hours of running or more than 6 mons.
 Responsible in setting up new cascades system in exploration platform and new well in response to current drilling operation like suspecting high level of H2S or LEL in the well.
 Calibrate fix H2S detectors on weekly basis and bump sensors as regular as possible to keep them active and accurate.
 Demonstrate SCBA to all new incoming personnel of its use and features for them to become familiarize to current SCBA on location. Train personnel who are not familiar to model and type current available.
 Monitor air level in case of H2S blow out and report to IM/ Client Company man for evaluation for possible abandonment during H2S emergency.
 Perform specific task during well test and coiled tubing operations in accordance to client protocol and procedure.
 Sanitation Officer, inspect overall health and safety compliance of rig catering operation and personnel.
 Safety officer of Catering department, implement safety guidelines and current standard of practice to ensure safety of all personnel on the rig.
 Supervise and assist In-field chopper pilots to land and take off from oil platform and or drilling rig. Ensure safety of all personnel and their belongings during and after each landing. Co-ordinate with Rig radio operator as to safety clearance of coming chopper.
 Do Safety Induction of new personnel coming on the rig as to health and safety rules of the Client and Drilling company. Introduce them to Client company man, drilling supervisors before assuming any work on the installation.
 Assist Safety Officer in all paper works related to Health and Safety issues, and give weekly presentation of health/ hygiene affecting the rig personnel during weekly general safety meeting.
