CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
Dear Sirs,
My name is Ivan Krastev.
I was born in Varna, Bulgaria on 1st November 1977 and I am still living there.
I graduated the Bulgarian Naval Academy in Varna in 2002.
2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
6 years on Car and Truck Carriers and 3 years on Passenger Vessels.
My cadetship was on general cargo ships and Ro-Ro. I continued working on Ro-Ro ships till the end of 2007 when I took my Chief mate’s CoC and was offered a job in P&O Cruises as a Second Officer.
I have been working on P&O Arcadia ever since as a Second , Senior Second and during my last contract as First Officer.
I believe I fit very well in the team and all my colleagues say that they like working with me. This holds true for my seniors as well.
This, I believe, is due to my quite, confident and kind personality in addition to my skills and knowledge.
I am fast learner, hard worker, with personal interest in electronics and computers which helps me learn fast and work sufficiently with all the modern equipment on board ships.
I have spent most of my life dealing with boats and ships and this gives me intuitive understanding of ship handling and behavior.
In March 2009 I took my exams for Master’s CoC unlimited.
The job I am looking for should be challenging enough to keep my professional skills to the highest standard, secure and regular enough as to allow me to attend my duties at home as a father of 2 kids.
I believe that your company offers such opportunity.
I will need to pass through DP courses and training to start working on board your vessels but I am willing to do so and pass all the additional training required .
I understand that lower position than my CoC will be more suitable as a beginning.
3. Education & Training - CV/Resume Part 3 [Mandatory]
Bulgarian Naval Academy - Masters Degree in Navigation.
All STCW certificates.
Masters CoC unlimited issued in Bulgaria.
4. Computer Skills - CV/Resume Part 4 [Mandatory]
Excellent!!!
5. Other Skills - CV/Resume Part 5 [Optional]
Grew up in boats and ships so genuine understanding of how they behave.
Some programming skills. Good in computers as general.
