I recently graduated from my Master's degree in Integrated Petroleum Geoscience at the University of Aberdeen achieving a high commendation grade. Previos to this I studied for my Bachelor's degree in Geology at Durham University where I receved a high 2:1 (hons) grade.

I have 3 months work experience at First Oil Expro Limited where I completed my Master's project. For this project I completed a regional 3D seismic interpretation, prospect specific 3D interpretation, and analysis of risking and volumes on prospects and leads within my seismic area.

I am an excellent team player and am a competent leader as shown by my 2 years as a bar manager.

Summer Internship, First Oil Expro Limited May-August 2010
Achieved firsthand experience working in a multi-disciplinary team within an active oil company.

Improved my own technical skills through working up exploration targets.

My final project improved knowledge of one of First Oil’s core areas in the North Sea and gave them prospect/lead specific risk and volume values that they can use for future work.

Presented my work to technical experts from partner companies.

Also presented my work to the non-geoscientists within First Oil.

Data Analysis and Report Writing
Through my academic studies I have produced numerous reports covering a wide range of topics and data types. I developed myself into a highly competent report writer with strong interpretive reasoning skills. This is represented by my first class mark in my individual mapping project.

I completed a research project with First Oil Expro Limited as part of my Masters course. This included analysis of petroleum geosciences based datasets including seismic interpretation.

Team Work
I have advanced my team work skills in a variety of situations, from group projects in academic assignments, playing for numerous sports teams and clubs, and within the work environment.

I have had the opportunity to formally lead a team in the workplace whilst managing a pub for 2 years.
