CURRENT POSITION

Field Drilling and Workover site leader,
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Basic Functions
• Responsible for well planning, supervision, Logistics, material requisitions, contractor Mobilization, and daily follow up and supervision of all Drilling Operations for wells in the Gulf of Suez including vertical, deviated and extended reach wells in high pressure Oil and Gas Reservoirs
• Responsible for rig-site implementation and control of all drilling and workover related contracts.
• Responsible for Cost Optimization and on-site Budget control
• Responsible for well Control and Reservoir Integrity Protection during drilling and workover operations

Job Duties:-

1. Drilling Data analysis and Optimization:
• Review and implement of all Service and Materials contracts.
• Selection, ordering and follow up of all materials needed.
• Daily drilling and workover reports.
• Preparation of weekly, monthly, final and annual well reports.
• Study and prepare detailed Drilling and workover programs.
• Bit selection, performance records and performance evaluation.
• Optimization of Drilling Fluid design on a well by well basis
• Provide initial well timelines for planning purposes, drilling time curves and initial cost estimates.
• Setting procedures and guidelines for the precautions needed to avoid potential drilling problems on a well by well basis.
• Optimize drilling programs on a well by well basis to enhance Safe Operations, Reservoir Protection, and Time and Cost reduction
• To compile well performance data such as actual drilling time, cost and footage versus planned drilling time, as well as cost and footage curves.

2. Drilling Operations Planning and on-site Supervision:
• Selecting surface locations, and supervision of site preparation.
• Rig acceptance according to API specifications.
• Drill string design, BHA stabilization and Drilling hydraulics optimizations.
• Bit selection as per API classifications and track record.
• Design of Mud programs Water base (Bentonite spud mud, gel polymer mud, salt sat. kcl. Poly. Mud & flo. Pro. Mud) & Oil base mud.
• Casing program design, setting point and Stress analysis (in thick mobile salt sections) .
• Cementing program design and calculations (single multi-stage jobs).
• Directional drilling (steerable and rotary steerable technology) and down hole motor selection.
• Management of Fishing Operations, Lost Circulation, and emergency well control situations.
• Well control calculations, killing plans and equipment tests.
• Temporary well abandonment programs Land well reentry.
• Well completion and work over programs, drill stem tests, vacuum tests, gas well completions, and involved in Rigless test operations.
• Hydraulic Fracturing operations support and Management of Post Frac cleanup operations.
