I have worked as Specialist - Coatings, Insulation & Refractory with Qatargas-2 (QGX-Exxon mobil) QGX LNG Project Management Team. I had an opportunity to worked for Exxon-mobil, Qatargas, Chevron, JGC, Chiyoda, Technip, CCIC as well as, in various oil & gas, Petrochemical erection projects.

Experienced to manage all activities of Inspection, construction and Engineering activities related to Coating of onshore & offshore equipments and pipelines, Thermal spray aluminum, FBE, Marine coatings, above ground and underground pipe line coatings, Hot and cold insulation, Cryogenic insulation, Passive Fireproofing, Refractory installation, Cold spill LNG protection intumescent coatings - for LNG process area and storage tanks, Utility facilities, Sulfur recovery units, Offshore berths etc.

Looking after the technical and inspection activities related to CSP LNG protection, Marine coatings, Cold insulation of Berth#5 LNG module being fabricated at Abu-dhabi, from engineering stage to site installation at Qatargas Berth#5.

Nature of duties:
Quality assurance & inspection of Coatings of tank forms(28CS-FBT, Spheres, SS-FBT), Storage tanks in ethylene, EB/SM, utility units, on shore and offshore pipe lines. Responsible for painting of equipments, pipe spools, and structure in field shop and paint shop as per project specifications. Witnessing each stage of inspection and final inspection, hand-over including completion of punch items prior to hand-over.

Originate & Review DR, NCR according to the project specifications & ITP, Work Instructions, Concession request.

Looking after the coatings, Hot & Cold Insulation of on shore and off-shore pipe spools and equipments such as Vessels, Columns, Drums, Exchangers and storage tanks of all processing & utility units of this project. Fire proofing of spheres & equipments.. Fire proofing of surge drums, furnace structures and surge spheres with Fendolite MII fire proofing material.

Quality assurance & inspection of Coatings of tank forms, Responsible for painting of equipments, pipe spools, and structure in field shop and paint shop as per project specifications. Witnessing each stage of inspection and up to final hand-over. Preparation of Punch items and check lists. Preparing & maintaining QA/QC documents, NCR, VCR, etc.

Ensures the activities carried out in accordance with approved quality procedures and project specifications, ensures the quality of paint systems on equipments, pipe spools and structures at paint shop and field shop. Checking and inspection of paint defect and their rectification prior to final dispatch, Holiday detections, Inspecting the quality of work on day-to-day basis and ensuring that drawing data specifications are adhered to. Execute the work as per all Contract documents, Drawings, Specifications and Standards required for Quality Assurance, Quality control & Inspection.

Ensures construction & quality of hot, cold and personnel protection insulation for CDU, RFCC in this project. I have worked as “Site Engineer – Insulation & Painting” in various sites through M/s. Arun Ref. & Cont. Company. India.

Nature of duties:
Responsible for achieving the construction schedule with safety and quality.
Responsible for construction activities of hot and cold insulation, painting of various sites. Monitoring and maintaining the safety standards during construction activities at site as per project specifications. Follow up the sub-contractors to achieve the progress forecast and forced increase the manpower and materials as per the project schedule requirements, Co-ordinate and assisting Client & Site construction team to form effective integrate of project construction activities to achieve the target and schedule. Ensures the activities carried out in accordance with approved quality procedures and project specifications, ensures the quality of paint systems on equipments, pipe spools and structures at paint shop and field shop. Checking and inspection of paint defect and their rectification prior to final dispatch, Holiday detections, Inspecting the quality of work on day-to-day basis and ensuring that drawing data specifications are adhered to. Execute the work as per all Contract documents, Drawings, Specifications and Standards required for Quality Assurance, Quality control & Inspection.
Record site ambient conditions, DFT & other activities as detailed in ITP, Inspection Surface preparation and coatings of equipments, pipe spools and steel structures as per project specifications, Coating of paint systems – primer and coating systems, Inspection of surface profile and paint systems at Paint shop and field shop as per specifications.
