I am an accomplished and experienced Marine Engineering Technician with over 30 years service in the British Royal Navy. I am due to retire from the service and am now looking for a second career working offshore in the oil and gas industry. I have a proven record of outstanding results, in often demanding environments, throughout my career as an engineer. In addition to my strong engineering skills, I am trained to a high level in all aspects of safety onboard a sea going vessel including firefighting, damage control and first aid. I am highly flexible and willing to work offshore, on a rotational basis, in any location worldwide.

Engineering Operations Warrant Officer, Defence Crisis Management Centre 2008- Present.
o Operations and Maintenance Manager for a Plant Engineering Team (16 personnel) delivering 24 hour equipment availability, operation and immediate notice change of equipment state, routine Planned and Defect Maintenance, Safe Systems of Work, equipment update and upgrade proposals including Through Life Capability Management.
o Department Safety, Health Environment and Fire Representative demonstrating a thorough understanding of Environmental Management Planning and its implementation.
o Reporting Officer for departmental personnel producing honest and accurate appraisal reports and offering advice, guidance and references on career issues.
o Proven ability to work across a broad spectrum of areas including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment.
o As Operations Manager directly involved in restructuring and implementing the Planned Preventative Maintenance routines completed by plant team personnel and contractors.

o Line manager for a number of Senior Non-commissioned Officers and Second Reporting Officer for section Junior Non-commissioned Officers dealing with personal and professional issues to ensure high achieving team members remained fully focussed and successfully mentored personnel through to promotion.
Warrant Officer Customer Satisfaction HM Naval Base Devonport 2004-2006.
o Collated all forms of customer feedback concerning the delivery of Naval Base key outputs, performed routine ship visits liaising with Senior Management.
o Produced and delivered formal presentation of service delivery levels to the Naval Base Management Board (Senior Naval Officers and Civil Servants).
o Worked closely with the Naval Base Quality Assurance cell and applied the regulations required of an ISO 9000/14000 accredited organisation. Completed Internal Auditors course and applied these skills by inspecting numerous processes within the Naval Base.
o Played a key role in formulating the Naval Base Business Continuity Management Plan and was main focal point for this within the sub-department.
o Produced various publications and reports concerning Naval Base annual levels of service delivered and provided these to all levels of management, customers and lodger units.

o Marine Engineering Instructor co-ordinating planning and managing delivery of all aspects of Marine Engineering Training at sea including safe and correct Machinery Operation, Engineering Standards, Ship Husbandry, Engineering Administration, Fire Fighting and Damage Control, Disaster Relief, Pollution Control.
o Completed the CBRN 35 Course enabling delivery of the following training to British and Foreign Navies; linguistic/cultural barriers to be observed whilst instructing and received positive feedback from attendees.
