Dear Sir or Madam:
I am interested in exploring new employment opportunities in Marine Engineering and have enclosed a copy of my resume for your personal review. I am looking for a challenging position, one that offers scope for development and can be rewarding. My communication skills are excellent and I have a proven ability to deal with people at all levels and nationalities. I have a Canadian 1st class motor certificate with STCW 95 endorsement as well as a previous holder of both Barbadian and Panamanian certificates for unlimited horse power of a motor driven vessel. All required certificates and requirements are up to date.
I have recently worked for C-mar Canada of Nova Scotia , Canada on a MPV doing ROV work in South Africa. My Position was often as chief engineer and to review the FMEA and reconmend changes to the vessels for clients.
I previously completed working with Secunda Marine Services of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Canada as Chief Engineer on 3 DP II class MPV currently configured as a Pipe layer/Dive Support Vessel. These vessels are now being used in the Gulf of Mexico as a Dive Support Vessels with a diving bell and decompression chamber.
I bring with me over 24 years as a Chief Engineer on a wide variety of vessels such as survey, AHTS,PSV’S, freighters, salvage vessel where I also acted as head diver, clam fishing, oil rigs, DSV, pipe layer, tankers and bulk carriers.
I was the preferred engineer in Secunda with regard to dry-docking and conversion work converting some vessels into DP 1 and latter into DP 2 class.
After 16 years with Secunda I have decided to explore new opportunities in my field or others that you feel I would be qualified to fulfill currently or in the near future. Please feel free to contact at any time Secunda Marine for references. A call or email will convince you I have the qualifications and can fill any position in my field you may have available.
