I am applying for the position of PDMS Piping Designer through Oil Offshore Marine website.

I am keen to apply for the above position, currently I am working as a Piping Designer (PDMS) for Aker Kvarener Maritime Hydraulics AS, Kristiansand, Norway from 2nd Jan, 2006 for Offshore Drilling platform engineering, I am having 17 years experience in piping design for various Offshore and Onshore projects.

I have worked with Foster Wheeler India for about 7+ years, during the period I had been deputed to Canada (6 months) and Finland (2 years), to work in EPC projects using PDMS. In addition I have worked with Enmas process technologies Ltd, India for about 6 years as Junior Engineer and 1 year as trainee with Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, India.

This position particularly interests me because it would enable me to make full use of my engineering skills, as well as my current knowledge of Offshore Drilling Rig engineering. I have well-developed written and oral communication skills which will enable me to deal with engineering team and other related departments of Process, Materials and production effectively. In previous positions I have frequently had to meet tight deadlines and to organise my workload efficiently. I have experience of working independently, but prefer to work closely with colleagues as part of a project task team.

Having 17 years of Experience in piping deign & detail Engineering for Off-shore/On-shore Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, Power, Pulp and Paper Projects.

Worked 6 months in Canada and 2 years in Finland for various turnkey power projects. Currently working with Aker Kvaerner Maritime Hydraulics AS,
Norway for Offshore Drilling Rigs from Jan, 2006 and holding work permit till 31.12.2007.

Having 6 years work experience PDMS Design and Draft and 1 year with PDS.

PIPING DESIGN / PIPING LAYOUT / STRESS / MATERIAL:
Review, develop, coordinate and execute the plans of Piping discipline; Development of plot Plans, Equipment Layouts, Pipe Rack layouts, Nozzle Orientation & Bulk MTO; Defining structures required for equipment & piping systems; Development of detailed piping drawings for various piping systems; Isometrics extraction; Review and comment on vendor / specialty items; Coordination with inter disciplines; Developing PDMS/PDS 3d design model for piping and reviews.
