My background includes direct pro-active management of the operations support disciplines within various Aberdeen based engineering, manufacturing and oilfield service organizations. Technically aware, commercially astute and customer focused, I have throughout gained considerable experience and knowledge in staff management, workshop, production control, supply chain, project, sales support, and rental equipment asset management.

I have during my career managed, directly or indirectly, most aspects of business operations. This has included direct customer interface on both commercial and operational matters; staff recruitment and mentoring; management and direction of the workshop and associated disciplines essential in the provision of quality equipment, service, and trained technicians necessary in accomplishing customer expectations; deployment of operational field staff; management of the supply chain operations including multi-million pound inventories; and the creation, implementation and development of processes and procedures assisting in company expansion and strategic business growth.

Cost effectively manage the company’s European sub-sea and surface wellhead, riser and rental tool inventories, including rework, re-certification and inter-regional transfers in support of client requirements. Requisition capital equipment, materials and services on divisional manufacturing. Progress manufacturing orders. Direct client interface. Co-ordinate the logistics, warehousing, remanufacturing, maintenance and inventory management of Britannia project and 3rd party materials in line with contractual requirements. Responsible for the effective supervision and efficient operation of the purchasing section within the materials department. Main duties include the sourcing, negotiating and procuring the supply of all fabrications, finished machined components, and a wide variety of major electronic, electrical and hydraulic spend commodities and services both in the UK and overseas to comply with the requirements set by production planning, material control and project management. Tender compilation, proposal evaluation, contractual appraisal and award. Supervise the procurement of a wide range of general commodities and services.
