I have attached my CV for any vacant position within your company. I have been working on the Kizomba project in Angola

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

1984 – 1985

After graduating from the University of Petroleum and Gas, I was employed by Petromar, the Romanian Offshore Oil Company.
In my first year in Petromar my position included responsibility for logistical and material activities associated with Petromar’s drilling programmes. During this period I developed an excellent understanding of “front line” drilling operations, specific drilling activities and equipment. The work involved preparation of shipping/air manifest, receipt and despatch of rental and purchased equipment and stock control.

1985 - 1986

I worked for six month in the Drilling Department of Petromar, formulating and reviewing Drilling

1986 - 1989

I was promoted to work offshore on “Prometeu” rig as a drilling engineer. On the rig I was involved
in all the processes of the drilling activity. I produced reports and documents e.g. Bit and Bottom

Hole Assembly Records, Down Hole Tools Records, Casing Tally and Cementing Reports,
Freights Manifests.

1989 - 1994

After a Training Course in Cementation, I was responsible for various cement jobs for Petromar,
starting with slurry design for a primary cement job, a two stages cement job , a squeeze job ,
cementation of a liner and slotted liner and continued working offshore on all Petromar’s Drilling

1993 - 1995

In autumn 1993 I was interviewed by Enterprise Oil and they chose me to be involved in their Black-SeaProject for 1994 - 1995.I was sent to Aberdeen for two months for a training period on a Jack -up rig in the North - Sea, named Ensco 92.
Coming back to Romania I was involved from pre-planning of the exploration wells in the Enterprise
Bucharest Office through to the drilling of these wells offshore on the “Ocean Liberator” semi-submersible rig. On the rig my position was Assistant Company Man and I was responsible for supervising the drilling activity during the night.

1995 - 1996

I came back to Petromar and worked as a drilling engineer on different projects including HPHT wells in
Romania and a Turkish project of 3 wells that were drilled by a Petromar rig named “Orizont” in the
Marmara - Sea. Starting in July 1996 I was involved as a Contractor Representative in the pre-planing of the exploration well Galata 2 for Texaco Bulgaria Offshore Ltd. and the Balgarevo East well for Enterprise Oil Exploration.
Once the Galata 2 was spudded-in I was employed as Contractor Representative on board the rig “Atlas” being involved in all activities relating to drilling and well testing of the well.
Starting with November 1996 I was involved in “TOTAL SIRRI” project in the Persian Gulf, working
on board the rig “ORIZONT” on Contractor’s side as Drilling Engineer.

1997 - 1998

After "TOTAL SIRRI project I followed " ORIZONT " rig on " CAIRN ENERGY " project in Bengal Bay
doing the work as Drilling Engineer on board till May 1997.
Starting with June 1997 I was involved as Owner Representative in the pre-planing of the project for upgrade and cantilever conversion of another PETROMAR rig named " FORTUNA " in LAMPRELL
SHIPYARD LLC, SHARJAH, U.A.E. I was appointed as Owner Representative on site to run the project in the shipyard.

1999 – 2000

Starting with the end of 1998 , I was contacted by The Expro Group to work for them in staff level in their drilling department for North Africa & CSI as consultant. At the end of January 2000, I came back to PETROMAR being involved in the planning of another rig conversion named “ATLAS” which is going to happened within the year in an shipyard that will be choosen later on.

2001- 2005: SAIPEM S.p.A.


Working within HSE Department in developing HSE Procedures, Safety Training Teaching material. Risk assessment and JSA for operation activities.
Working on board Jack-up Perro Negro 3, South Pars Project – Persian Golf – client: AGIP IRAN B.V. implementing ISM Code procedures, especially focus on working in a H2S environment due to the specific drilling structure.
Working on board Jack-up Perro Negro 4, Red Sea Area, being responsible to develop and finalise all the HSE and Emergency procedures by explaining their content and collecting all the comments from Rig Staff in order to finalise the HSE management system on board.
Working on board Scarabeo 4 and Perro Negro 5, located in Nigerian waters, the first one in Bonny field, and the second one in Warry field. In charge of implementing ISM Code rules and regulations on board.
Working on board D/S Saipem 10000 in West Africa waters (Angola, Gabon, Nigeria, Congo, Morocco) and South America waters (Brazil) as HSE Supervisor being responsible of:
• Preparing and updating of all safety procedures included in the HSE Offshore Procedures Manual;
• Preparing and updating the Emergency Preparedness Procedures Manual and the Emergency Action Plan for D/S Saipem10000;
• Monitoring the environmental aspects and ensure that the Oil Spill Action Plan is followed accordingly;
• Preparing the Risk Assessment for various jobs through the SJA;
• Following up the implementation of all safety procedures onboard;
• Preparing, updating, implementation and follow up of Event Report procedure onboard;
• Ensuring the company safety policy is followed onboard;
• Investigating and reporting of accidents and major incidents occurred onboard;
• Chairman of all safety meetings performed onboard;
• Preparing the safety training and drill schedule;
• Preparing the drill scenarios and reports;
• Performing adequate safety training for all crew;
• Statistical reporting (monthly and yearly);
• HLO and HRO.
• Continually review the HSE performance by inspection and by acquiring data in order to provide means to improve overall HSE standards.
• Receive, review/comment and administer the HSE documentation
• Attend and contribute to HSE meetings and follow-up on action items
• Collate the daily, weekly and monthly HSE statistics/data, determine trends and report.
• Training of international and local crew as an important task of the job.
• Developing practical operating procedures and auditing the implementation of them.

2005 – 2006: GlobalSantaFe

Working as on board “Jack Ryan” Drill Ship in Angolan BP ultra-deep project. Involved also in AngoSantaFe logistic activities in Sonangol base in Luanda. After two hitches, promoted stand alone RSTC I and moved to jack-up “BALTIC” in Nigerian TOTAL’s AMENAM project.

2006 – present: PRIDE

Working as RSTA (Rig Safety Training Advisor) on board “KIZOMBA A” SWHP TLP for ExxonMobil.
As the specific activities on a TLP are driling and production, coordinates all safety related issues in three different systems: PRIDE, ExxonMobilDevelopmentCompany and ESSO Angola Upstream on daily basis.
Following OIMS (Operation Integrity Management System) requirements and implementing it for daily activities.
