19+ years in Production Engineering and Production Operations, Heavy and Extra-heavy Crude Oil, blended and not blended:
1 year and 8 months in Venezuelan Oil Industry. Degasification and Dehydration Operation Areas of Extra Heavy Crude blended or not with Naphtha, oil and residual water treatment blended with Naphtha. Failure Analysis, RCFA, Monitoring Treatment and Corrosion.

15 years and 9 months in Oil Field. Production Engineering, Artificial Lift Systems Optimization Engineer and Wells Production operations Areas with extra heavy crude in artificial lift (Rod Pump, PCP, ESP and Artificial Lift new technologies), Well Service Operations with artificial lift equipment (Pulling). Supervise and administration of personnel in oil fields. MPP and MFM Operations. Failure Analysis, RCFA, Corrosion monitoring.

Three (3) Years, working as Artificial Lift Systems Optimization Engineer has responsibilities for managing the ALS field support operations, continuously improve the customer production operations by reducing cost and/or increasing production in PCP and Sucker Rod Pump. The place of work is oil field Karazhanbas Munai, Work with Nations Energy, Republic of Kazakhstan.

Working on a 35/35 rotation schedule. Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities: Manage ALS field support team which will include R&MES field service supervisors, field technicians, field level crews and pump shop support staff. Acquire data, assess and recommend appropriate actions for improving wells life, increasing and Optimize production or improving well efficiency. Working with other OTSC team members and production department, establish list of priority projects complete with economic justification while establishing success measurement targets. Conduct a critical post optimization evaluation that captures lessons learned and recommendations for future actions, RCFA and Corrosion monitoring. Maintain a strong working relationship with other OTSC team members (Petroleum Engineers and Geology’s), production and work over managers. Conduct ALS training school for local staff.

Petrozuata San Diego de Cabrutica. (May 2005 – Dec. 2006).
One (1) year and six (7) months working as Production Operations Facilities Superintendent in Petrozuata oil field, Working on a 14/14 rotation schedule, Orinoco’s Belt. Accountable for the Degasification and Dehydration of field daily production. Treatment and injection of residual water. Produced and non-produced fluid streams Handling. Production counting. Manage chemical handling and consumption. Manage optimization strategies of the processes and of the operations personnel taking care of daily tasks. Coordination of Work Permits and Lock and Tag out process associated to Main Station Facilities. Operative expenses and cost reduction, troubleshooting event affecting production operations (RCFA). Definition of surface Facilities operations work procedures as well as safety procedures, proper and feasible. Evaluation, management, supervision and, training of Facilities Operations Personnel. Accountable for the elaboration, justification and managing Operative and investment Budget from the Facility Operations Area. ICS Operations Chief.


Petrozuata San Diego de Cabrutica. (January 2002 – May 2005).
Three (3) years and four (4) months working as Wells Production Operations Superintendent in Petrozuata Oil Field, Working on a 14/14 rotation schedule, Orinoco’s Belt. Accountable for the generation of the maximum potential required by the company according to the business plan. Oriented to increase oil production, maintain field potential, operative expenses and cost reduction. Definition of operation strategies and troubleshooting events affecting production operations (RCFA). Definition of work operation procedures of Artificial Lifting Equipment and safety procedure for Production Operations, Multiphase Pumping Equipment (MPP) and Multiphase Pumping Measurement (MFM). Coordination of Work Permits and Lock and Tag out process for wells group. Evaluation, management, supervision and training of Wells Production Operations Personnel. Accountable for the elaboration, justification and managing Operative and investment Budget from the Well Production Operations area. ICS Operations Chief.


Petrozuata San Diego de Cabrutica. (May 2001 – January 2002):
Eight (8) months working as Oil Production Specialist Senior Engineer. Working on a 14/14 rotation schedule, in the Production Management, Production Operations Department, Petrozuata, Orinoco’s Belt. Oriented to increase oil production in the field in Horizontal and multilateral wells, maintaining the potential, reducing operative costs, defining production operations work procedures as well as surface and safety procedures, proper and feasible. Evaluation of new artificial lifting technologies together with the Engineering Department, Gas, water and sand Production Optimization. Accountable to execute the necessary actions to operatively guaranty the fulfillment of the completion test schedule in year 2001. (RCFA) failure analysis troubleshooting of artificial lift equipment by ESP’s and PCP’s. Elaborate development plans for San Diego de Cabrutica field. Manage and plan production and potential production in short, medium and long term, as well as the statistics allowing follow up and improvements. Train Well Operations personnel to handle new artificial lift technologies and business strategies. Accountable of the Production Control Department. Spill Crew Chief.


Petrozuata Puerto La Cruz. (June 2000 - May 2001):
Eleven (11) months working as Oil Production Senior Engineer for the Technical Services Department, Production Management of Petrozuata. Oriented to increase and optimize blend oil production, rationalizing the use of diluent (Naphtha), Optimizing water and sediment production, handling gas and optimize artificial lifting equipment useful life. Maintain Field Potential, cost reduction and operative expenses. Evaluation of new artificial lift equipment technologies and definition of down hole and surface equipment to be installed in wells. (RCFA) Failure analysis and troubleshooting artificial lift equipment (ESP’s and PCP’s), Accountable to manage the Petrozuata-Centrilift agreement during this period. Lead the artificial lift troubleshooting teams, well failures and reservoir efficiencies, integrated surveys and development plans for San Diego de Cabrutica Field. Manage and plan production at short, medium and long terms as well as statistics for follow up and improvements.


Perez Companc Oritupano Leona (March 1997 - May 2000):
Three (3) years and two (2) months working as Oil Production Engineer. Production Engineering Departament, Consorcio Perez Companc-Norcen-Corod, in the production area of the Leona/Oritupano field (South Anzoátegui, Venezuela). As Senior Engineer Advisor, oriented to increase oil production, field maintenance, operative cost reduction, definition of safe production operations work procedures for surface and pulling, proper and feasible. Evaluation of new artificial lifting technologies and definition for well equipment, etc.


Intevep S. A. Los TĂ©ques (September 1989 - March 1997).
Seven (7) years and six (6) months working as Applied Investigation Engineer and Technical Support in the Oil Production area, specifically in the artificial lift area. Production Methods Section of Intevep S. A. The work was mainly oriented to increase production, reduce cost and define new and more profitable production schemes. Technical support to the company branches producing heavy and extra heavy crude to optimize production. Detailed knowledge of the facilities and operating practices, including industrial safety from PDVSA operators in the production area through artificial lift by Rod pump, especially producing heavy crude and bitumen (ESP, PCP and Rod pump). Optimization of artificial lift systems for heavy crude and bitumen. Advance experience in the design, construction and implantation of surface and downhole facilities for artificial lift methods through Rod pump, PCP and ESP. Field advises to the branches in the application of new artificial lift methodologies and technologies.
