Experience is supervision of all aspects of offshore platform and project construction safety, errection supervision, inspection of equipment Involved in the following activities.
1. Implement safety, health, environment policies from client, and main contractors.
2. Carry out risk assessments all activities under (OHSAS) – 18001 and job safety analysis.
3. To liaise with the asset safety officer/FPS/Process in charge on behalf of ES-Safety Officer.
4. To ensure all activities of the contractor at the site are carried out in safe manner. Any discrepancy or unsafe practice by worker brought to the notice of following personnel:-
a) Contractor’s project manager
b) Contractor’s work supervisor
c) Client Project coordinator at site and base
5. Carry out safety inspection/audit – internal including hygiene audit etc. on behalf of clients.
6. Responsible for safety and house-keeping. Organizing safety training to workforce on the use of PPEs and safe job practices.
7. To check whether contractor has all valid certificates of equipment/competency.
8. To undertake safety audit on Daily basis, Weekly basis, Monthly basis & Pre-commission.
9. To identify the health hazard at site and its accomplishments for preventive measures etc. Noise pollution and radiation shielding into permissible limits.
10. All the construction debris should be brought for onshore manifestation.
11. Daily checks for wire ropes of cranes, life boats, fire pumps and emergency generators.
12. To report near miss/incidents/accidents as per prescribed format.
13. Supervise the mock drill by contractor and maintain the feed back on the following on fortnight basis:
a) Man over board
b) Abandon the vessel
c) H2S release
d) Fire fighting
e) First Aid
14. In case of fatal accident ensure that the contractor has complied the role as per contractual provision.
15. Checking of house keeping, personal hygiene, galley equipments and staff.
16. Knowledge of lowering of boat, use of life saving appliances, fire prevention and fighting as per SOLAS.
17. Trained in Survival at sea, first aid, fire safety etc.
18. Conversant with precautions to be taken during hot job, welding operation, grinding operation, crane lifting, man and material transportation diving operation etc.
19. Site safety Inspection in order to identify unsafe/hazardous conditions of work in Piling, gas cutting, welding, working at height, material handling, gas cylinder storage/handling road blockage, dismantling work etc.

21. Mechanical erection safety, heavy duty crane etc. This includes safe vessel entry, flammable gas, testing hot and cold work, welding procedures, permit for work etc.
22. Preparation of safety check list for safe working at site. Accident/Incident investigation along with preparation of reports.
23. Interaction with client and consultant and attending the safety meetings with client.
24. Weekly tool box meetings with sub-contractors and company’s site engineers. Maintaining daily log-book, discussion with site-in-charge on daily progress.
