Major Projects

1. De-bottlenecking of Chloromethanes Plant
· Liaising with control room and process engineering department to obtain all data required in the De-bottlenecking project.
· Carrying out process simulation studies using Basic Engineering Package and Aspen Plus Software to identify possible options for the De-bottlenecking.
· Thermal design and rating of shell & tube heat exchangers and hairpins using Tasc+.
· Thermal design and rating of thermosyphon and kettle reboilers using Tasc+.
· Sizing of finned tube heat exchanger.
· Analysis of packed tower hydraulics to fix tower diameter at specific turn down & turn up ratio.
· Calculation of recirculation rate in absorption columns.
· Identify bottle neck control valves & flow transmitters and their new requirement.
· Calculations of relieving capacity of safety valves and identify the bottle neck safety valves using API 520 & 521 Codes.
· Calculation of steam requirement in the plant and size the line accordingly.
· Process line sizing and pressure drop calculation.
· Update PFD’s and P&ID’s.
· Make bill of material and capex.
· Mechanical design check (by Microprotol software) of pressure vessels and heat exchangers provided by suppliers.
· Attending process safety reviews as necessary, such as HAZOPS, and ensure that all agreed recommendations and changes resulting from such reviews are incorporated into the design.
· Make process presentations as requested during the project to management.
· Attend weekly progress meetings with other members of the Technical Services to eliminate process problems and fulfill requirements that need input from other disciplines and departments.
2. Condensate recovery system
As a Project Coordinator, responsible for conceptual design to commissioning of the system.
3. Energy Audit of the Plant
Get the plant energy audit conducted and implementation of recommendations.
