Approved as a QC Inspector (Welding) by PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT OF OMAN (PDO)
Duties & responability
1) Incoming materials Inspection, MTC review and Ensure correct materials are utilized in project.
2) Familiar with, Relevant PDO Specification, QA/QC procedure and QC plan.
3) Verifying copies of applicable QC Plan, QC Procedures are available at the location of work.
4) Ensure that all the welding work carried out as per approved procedure and plans.
5) Witness welder Qualification test in association with the company representative and welding engineer.
6) Verifying that the welders are qualified to the WPSs and maintain continuity records.
7) Before welding fit-up Inspection, during welding preheat & Inter pass temperature checking, After welding 100% Visual Inspection.
8) NDT request and Review for On plot and Off plot Jobs.
9) Check and Record welding parameters and verifying compliance with approved WPS.
10) Verifying calibration status of measuring device and test equipment.
11) Set up a numbering system for the welds, compile and maintain isometrics containing weld numbers and welders identification.
12) Monitor welder performance, receive and review NDT reports.
13) Liaise with the Works coordinator in case of non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are taken.
14) Liaise with the company representative for the conduct of day-to-day quality related activities of the service contract.
15) Ensure fulfillment of all inspection & test requirements at all stages as per the CQP and contract requirements..
16) Compile and review pertinent records of inspection & test for individual job orders.
17) Conduct the welder meeting month once and give a instruction of On-plot and Off-plot welding, Class1 pipe line welding & general instruction of welding.
18) Ensure implementation of HSE policy and HSE plan within the area of their jurisdiction.

Service Contract Experience :

Off Plot delivery contract 7 years agreement contract with our client PDO.
Total in Lekhwair our site 600 well are available. Major work in our contract flow line with H /up for Oil, gas lifting line &Water injection. We are use API 5l X-42, X-52, 5L GR B materials in flow lines , SA106 GR B, SA 234 WPB,
SA 105 materials in H/UP. 20 D bend (15, 22.5,45,90 degree) we are made and inspect in our fabrication yard used In water injection line. Degree template and gauge plate (97.5%OD) used to inspect in our yard. On-plot (H / UP) & off plot (F/L) depend on well design pressure we choose line rating (300# , 600#, 900# , 1500#). 600 & below 600# as per PDO specification SP 1174( off plot) 10% RT and above 600# lines 100% RT in butt welds , branch joints 100% MPI required. H / UP first joint well connecting joint Ring type joint(RTJ) this RTJ flange required stress reliving before SR and after SR Radiography carried out. Insulation spool we are using Hook-up to flow line & flow line to manifold connecting location. RMS(Remote manifold system) Water injection manifold , oil manifold and gas manifold piping spool fabrication & flow line and manifold interconnecting spool fabrication and installation .
Total last 16 month we are hand over 148 Nos well to our client PDO after RIG movement notification with in 24 hrs. Total kilo meter -1396 Kms.

Pipeline Experience:

Fabrication & Installation of 8” Gas lift pipeline (buried) from LPS to DHU approximately 21.3 Kms(Mtl. CS, ISO 3183-3 QCS L- 450, equal ant to API 5L Gr X-65, 5.9/6.4 mm thick, Sour Gas, Class I, Design code ASME B31.8)
Project Value – OMR 790,394.735 (Exclude material)

Procurement & construction of 12” CS PE Lined WI pipeline (above ground) from LPS to LEK station A1 and A2 area approximately 10Kms (Mtl. API 5L Gr X-42, 14.3 mm thick, Non Sour, Class 1, Design code ASME B31.4)
Project Value – OMR 1,538,000.00 (include material)

Pipe material certificate review, preliminary WPS approval, PQR preparation (Review all related Documents), As per applicable Codes and standards DTL & NDT test witness and certificate review, Welder card preparation and Client approval, Pipe stringing report review, During welding on site inspection, As per WPS fit up- Inspection, preheat, heat input & inter pass temperature checking, after welding Visual inspection, NDT request issue, X ray film review, Tie- in joint, UT & Cut bevel MPI test witness at site. X ray film after client review Coating release, before hydro testing check the scope of work completion as per the purchase order, Prepare punch list before hydro test, Accumulate the all documents & verified after then issue the hydro test clearance. During hydro test witness at site, commissioning the line and hand over to the client, before hand over punch list to be cleared. Test pack to be submitted for client approval.
