Nature of job :
Working in Takreer, Ruwais Refinery, Abu Dhabi through contractor as Instrumentation Technician in General Utility plant.
Takreer is the main crude oil processing branch of ADNOC with having crude capacity of 140,000 bpd and condensate splitter capacity of 280,000 bpd and Power generation capacity of 900MW and water production capacity of 60000m3/day.
The GUP consists of :
1. 4X165 MW ABB Alstom 13E2 Gasturbines with Waste Heat Recovery Boiler
2. 1X30.39MW GE frame 6 Gas turbine with Speedtronic Mark V TMR with Waste Heat Recovery Boiler
3. 2X18.85MW GE frame 5 Gas turbines with Speedtronic Mark V Simplex
4. 2X45MW Mitsubishi Steam Turbines with Diasys Control System
5. 2X500 m3/hr, 3X600 m3/hr Desalination (Multi Stage Flashing) plants
6. 2X250 T/hr Boilers
7. Water Treatment Plant
8. Demineralization Plants
9. Drinking and Distillate storage tanks and pumping stations
10. Hypo-chloride plant
11. Sea water pumping stations.

Job Profile:

Having hands-on experience in trouble shooting and fault finding of General Utility plant and Sulfur handling terminal units DCS and PLC systems, control logics and process instruments.
Involved in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Elsag-Bailey Symphony and Foxboro DCS, Allen-Bradley PLC, Triconex PLC BMS, GE Speedtronic Mark-V and ABB Egatrol Gas Turbine Control systems.
Hands-on experience on Bently Nevada 3500 & 3300 vibration monitoring system including configuration of system cards and calibration of probes and proximeters.
Hands-on experience on Computerized Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO)
Involved in daily preventive, breakdown maintenance of above mentioned plants systems and instruments.
Performed various modifications and upgradation jobs in existing plants and commissioned successfully with as-built drawings.
Assisted to supervisor and to Sr.Control engineer for work planning, material spare parts ordering, maintenance job procedures and scheduling.
Hands-on experience in start up of above mentioned plants and also covered emergency on call duty (one week in a month).
Attending troubleshooting in minimum down time of equipment.
Hands-on experience on all types of process field instruments (pressure, flow, level and temperature elements, transmitters, valves, MOV’s, controllers and communicators) including smart valve positioners.
