Present: -Working in the M/S Nagarjuna Oil Corporation Ltd, Cuddalore,
Tamilanadu, India. As a Sr. Engineer –Instrumentation-Project from May
2006. It is a 6.0 MMTPA relocated refinery (Woerth refinery, Germany)

Present Duties and Responsibilities:-
As Asst. Manager-Instrumentation (Projects) in M/S Nagarjuna oil corporation Ltd,
· Reports to Asst. General Manager (Inst.) through Sr. Manager (Inst.) for administration matters, assignment of duties, control system functionality, safety and reliability.
· Preparation and issuing instrument specifications to Vendors for budgetary offers.
· Involving in P & ID reviews,
· Familiar with API 551,552,553 and 554 codes.
· Technical specification preparation for DCS & Other field Instruments.
· Studying of detailed engineering documents prepared by PMC (ABB Lummus) and making comments compared with API codes.
· Preparing the technical specifications for refurbishment of all instruments and control valves.
· Participating as a member to review the design of interface to existing process control and shut down system
· Reviewed the equipments vendor’s data.
· Carried out the bid evaluation and vendor selection process for procurement of material.

· In charge of instrumentation for area 01(Syn. gas production plant) and utilities.
· Supports to SIC (shift in charge) and manager (production) for Instrumentation jobs in area 01(Syn. gas production plant) and utilities.
· Responsible for maintenance and trouble shooting of PLC and DCS.
· Preparation of PM schedule and annuals shut down schedule.
· Planning and supervising the regular PM jobs, which includes installation. Calibration, maintenance and trouble shooting of process control instruments.
· Attending to instrumentation related breakdown in various shop floors.
· Troubleshooting and writing trip reports for instrumentation related breakdowns.
· Preparation of specifications and data sheets for a variety of field instruments and valves including pressure, temperature, flow and level gauges, transmitters, control valves, on/off valves and relief valves etc.,
· Participated in P& ID development including entering instruments details to the database.
· Participated as a member to review the safety and shutdown logic diagrams.
· Participated as a member to review the fire and gas protection system.

· Calibration, maintenance installation and trouble shooting of field instruments of pressure, flow level and temperature transmitters. (Makes – Rosemount, Yakogawa, Taylor, ABB – Kent, Honeywell, Sakura, and Masoneilan).
· Calibration, maintenance, servicing and installation of pressure, temperature and level switches.
· Calibration, overhauling and preventive maintenance of control valves and its positioners. (Makes; - Fisher, Neles Jamsbury, Masoneilan, IIL, Mazada, and Parcol).
· Calibration, Trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of Fire and Gas Detection System. (Makes: - MSA, Mather Platt).
· Calibration, Installation Testing and Maintenance of Vibration Probes and thrust probes. (Make: - Bentley Nevada).
· Servicing, Testing and Installation of safety valves and Breather valves (Makes: - AUDCO, Mazada).
· Calibration and installation of panel and Field instruments.
· Following regular preventive maintenance schedule – inspects tests, services and calibration of all process instruments.
· Trouble shoots, reported or detected abnormailities in the control panel, its sensors, monitoring system, recording, indication/meeting gauges or devices including the control system by manipulating sensing if the unit controlled responds accordingly.
· Determine the nature of defect extends of damage and necessary repairs to restore the control panel operation to normal.
· In the course of instrument maintenance, repair and installation work.
· Reading interlock logic circuits diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID)
· Follow established test and calibration procedures with standard calibrators.
· During periodic shutdown, works on corrective works in rotating equipment. Checking all related instruments such as vibration probes, thrust probes and its monitors, bearing temperature elements etc., also assist operation personnel during start – up.
· Keeping and maintaining records and files of equipment performance history and its Calibration sheets as per procedure.

· Honey well TDC 3000 DCS A-MC’s start ups, module replacements and configurations, HG point configuration CL programming etc.,
· Honey well TDC 3000X DCS with Logic manager (LM), advanced process manager (APM) and remote I/O’s.
