I take this opportunity to introduce myself as a graduate (B. Tech) in Naval Architecture and Ship Building, from Cochin University of Science & technology, Cochin, India.
Currently with about fifteen years of experience in the Design/ Engineering departments in Marine and Offshore industry in India, and the Middle East. Presently working as Senior Naval Architect /Structural engineer in the Engineering Department (Dragon Offshore Industries LLC) of QGM Group LLC, PO Box 41834, Hamriyah Freezone, Sharjah, UAE (since Oct 2005).
Serving as Engineering Team Leader guiding a group of forty including Naval Architects, Structural Engineers and draftsmen. Actively involved in guiding the above team in the design, calculations/ analysis, FEA and preparation of Production Drawings for New Build and Rebuild of Offshore drilling rigs.
Also supporting the team by providing design procedures (such as for design of Helideck, Accommodation Module; in addition to Load out engineering ( of rigs up to 4000t), heavy lift engineering, skidding, installation engineering etc)
Years of experience in FEA tools of ANSYS, SACS and Staad Pro. Modeling tools of RHINOCEROS, SOLIDWORKS. Expertise in Ship Stability tools of MAXSURF and NAPA.

Graduated in Naval Architecture from Cochin University of Science & Technology, Cochin 22, Kerala, India , in Jan’ 1992.Presently with fifteen years of experience in the Engineering Departments in the Marine / Offshore industries & Classification society (Plan Approval with Indian Register of Shipping ), in India & in the Middle East.
Presently working as Senior Naval Architect and leading a team of Naval Architects & Structural Engineers in Dragon Offshore Industries LLC (DOIL) the Engineering Division of the QGM Group LLC, UAE. QGM Group LLC/ DOIL is the first Jack Up Rig builders & Designers in the Middle East. Dragon Offshore Industries LLC is the Engineering Division with a team of 130 professionals; including Naval Architects, Structural Engineers, Mechanical/ Piping engineers & E&I including drafting personnel.
Served as Naval Architect (Projects), Naval Architect/ Structural Engineer, Ship Surveyor (Plan Approval), Naval Architect/ Structural Engineer and currently as Senior Naval Architect.
Previously Served as Naval Architect / Structural Engineer in the Engineering Department of Dubai Drydocks, PO Box 8988, Dubai , UAE (from May 2002 to Aug 2005). Expertise in detailed design/ calculation and engineering supports to New Builds, Ship Modification/ Conversion &, repairs.
