PROJECT 1: IAI B-737 SPECIAL FREIGHTER CONVERSION KIT
Client : Israel Aircraft Industries

Role : TEAM LEADER (OUTSOURCING)

Role:
Ø Was involved in OUTSOURCING of detail components of BOEING 737 CARGO DOOR CONVERSION for machining operation that includes CNC, Conventional machining and Sheet Metal components.
Responsibility:
Ø Compiling the Material Subcontract Request and identifying suitable vendors based on the nature of job to be outsourced.
Ø Preparations for tender enquiries/request for quotations, arranging for tender openings and maintaining the quotations.
Ø Preparation of the cost comparative statements, PC/ MPC note sheets and follow up for approval.
Ø Preparation for price negotiation and consequent approval, if required.
Ø Preparation and approval of the draft purchase order and subsequently releasing the purchase order.
Ø Arranging for raw material loading along with the technical documents like drawings, process sheets, etc. required for manufacturing the components.
Ø Follow up for timely supplies and issuance of amendments, if any.
Ø Co-ordination with inspection for disposition of items.
Ø Advising payment to the vendors after acceptance of the components in line with the purchase order.
Ø Maintaining and updating the vendor directory periodically.



PROJECT 2: A320 FWD PAX DOORS
Client : AIRBUS, FRANCE
Company : HAL
Role : PLANNER (OUTSOURCING)

Role:
Ø Was involved in carrying out planning and capacity analysis of the vendors to increase the present rate of production of A320 FWD PAX DOORS from 6 to 17 per month.
Ø Was involved in sorting out all the technical queries raised by purchase and closely liaise with the methods and design departments for this purpose.
Ø Participate in the Lean Management Program with shop and other related departments.
Responsibility:
Ø Analyzing the capacity of the vendors for the components being fabricated by them.
Ø Developing parallel sources for the long cycle items to cut down the cycle time for production.
Ø Follow up with the vendors to expedite the components as per priority.
Ø Maintaining the shortage list of components in co-ordination with the Final Assembly.
Ø Ensure timely loading of the raw material to the vendors.
Ø Planning the minimum batch size of the components to be loaded to the vendors in co-ordination with the Scheduling department.

PROJECT 3: G150 AFT FUSELAGE PROGRAM
Client : Israel Aircraft Industries
Company : HAL
Role : TEAM LEADER (OUTSOURCING)

Role:
Ø Involved in outsourcing of Assembly Jigs, Detail tools, detail components (CNC/CONVENTIONAL machining) to outside vendors.
Ø Supplier management
Ø Cost reduction by refining the process
Ø Conducting change board review meeting for analyzing the data received from our customer M/s IAI.
Ø Involved in sorting out all the technical queries raised by vendors and closely liaise with the methods and design departments for this purpose.
Ø Conducting vendor meet for project awareness, schedule requirement, technical requirement & quality requirement.
