WORK EXPERIENCE

Lao

Ausenco Engineers Ltd
April 2007 - present

Phu Kham Copper Gold Project, Laos
Recruited by Ausenco to work as the QS onsite for a new Copper Gold project. Initially based in Brisbane Office to perform a quantities take-off from the AFC Drawings for the Concrete and Reinforcement; difficulties were encountered in the work due to lack of completed detail design.
Set out the contract strategy and format for the Pipework, including the initial BQ’s; and electrical work. After several weeks in Brisbane, went to site for six weeks on and two weeks off roster.
The site has communication problems which will continue to be, insufficient to allow for real coordinated progress to be made. Unfortunately this “fast track” project has also suffered from insufficient funding.
