Professional Experience:

2005 - Present: Integrated Processing Solutions (IPS):
This is a company that was started between Absa Bank and Standard Bank to perform the administration of the two banks towards cheque processing and teller transaction (This is the first Company like this in Africa and was started in 2005).

Supervisor - Customer Services:
Leading and supervising a staff of 9 enquiry; 2 filing room and 2 mail room clerks.
• Directing, monitoring and coordinating, sectional processes, evaluations to guarantee standard running conditions and productivity in accordance to daily / monthly business plans and schedules.
• Ensuring and maintaining a high level of service to all users.
• Attending to and ensuring speediness, accuracy and service.
• Managing and encouraging off development plans for all personnel (internal and external training).
• Conducting and rating of performance appraisals for all personnel.
• Ensure that all functions and processes are in line with company procedures.
• Submitting monthly data of performance parameters to the upper management, and proposals to improve productivity (Writing of monthly reports).
• Control data input / output by ensuring that all quality controls are in place and maintained.
• Record keeping of and submitting of weekly, monthly and yearly statistics.
• Monitoring workflow to and from the Customer Services Department.
• Day to day managing the area of responsibilities. (Customer Services Department; Filing Department and Mailing department).
• Daily problem solving and analysis (Customer Services Department; Filing Department and Mailing department).
• Monitoring workflow to and from our outside vendor (Metrofile Archive Services) according to Service Level Agreement.
• Organizing and controlling filing system for IPS Electronic Processing Unit, Absa Bank branch cash filing and Standard Bank deposits to Standard Bank head office PCCC and OSC centres.
• I serve in the IPS Bloemfontein Transformation Committee. We as a team are responsible to help identify possible problem areas and to try and find solutions together with upper management. We are responsible for fund raisings to help buy food for personnel and supply them with support when required. We also support other organizations for example: Sunflower house (this is a house for children who where identified with the HIV virus).
• I am the chief Fire Marshall for IPS Bloemfontein and am responsible for the safety of all employees of IPS Bloemfontein. I am responsible to oversee that all fire prevention equipment are up to standard and to check all evacuation routes for safety and accessibility. I am also responsible to oversee that all safety personnel are trained in accordance to law requirements.

1994 - 2005: Absa Bank Administration Centre Bloemfontein:

Financial Processing:
• Journal Processing (Processing of all electronic and automated journals).
• Account Payable functions of cheques.
• Processing of salary schedules for bank customers.
• Black Economy Empowerment Processing (capturing of all customer data on the Absa system).
• Mail department (receive and dispatch of all internal and external mail).
• Outgoing registration mail.
• Distributing of incoming registered mail.
• Enquiries to all above mentioned functions.
• Ordering and distribution of company stationary.
• Filing and record keeping of all relevant documentation.

Document Processor:
• Receiving of waste (cheque deposit transactions from Absa Bank branches) via Mounties Couriers.
• Waste (cheque deposit transactions from Absa Bank branches) preparation.
• Balancing of all customer deposits (all corporate clients).
• Data capturing of deposits.
• Problem solving related to network problems on Absa Bank system.

Unpaid Cheques:
• Yufigs (unpaid cheques above R5000.00 - Debit customers when we receive a telex message from other banks or administration centres).
• Sending and receiving telex messages.
• Missing items (cheques lost in transit – Debit and credit customers when we receive a telex message from other banks or administration centres).
• Enquiries to all above mentioned functions

Cheque Account Enquiries:
• All enquiries related to customers accounts (statements etc.)

• Ensure and maintain a high level of service to the banks customers.

1990 - 1994: Absa Bank Cash Centre Bloemfontein:
• Treasury (Supply and order of cash dominations required by customers and Absa bank tellers – ordering and depositing of money from and to the South African Reserve Bank).
• Teller (Receive daily deposits and supply cash float as requested from customers).
• Sachets (Sorting and bagging of different denominations of money).
• Security guard (armed escort for armoured cash in transit vehicles)

1989 - 1990: South African Defense Force:
• Received infantry training in Upington (South Africa) but specialized as 20mm gunner for the Ratel (armoured infantry vehicle).
• Did 6 (six) months border duty in Namibia (old South West Africa).
