Dear Sir or Madam:
I am interested in exploring new employment opportunities in Marine Engineering and have enclosed a copy of my resume for your personal review. I am looking for a challenging position, one that offers scope for development and can be rewarding. My communication skills are excellent and I have a proven ability to deal with people at all levels and nationalities. I have a Canadian 1st class motor certificate with STCW 95 endorsement as well as a previous holder of both Barbadian and Panamanian certificates for unlimited horse power of a motor driven vessel. All required certificates and requirements are up to date.
I am currently working for C-mar Canada of Nova Scotia, Canada as a relieving Chief Engineer on different vessels and to conduct FMEA,DP Annuals and Audits on vessels entering or already involved in the Oil and Gas markets worldwide.
I previously completed working with Secunda Marine Services of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Canada as Chief Engineer on 3 DP II class MPV’s currently configured as a Pipe layer/Dive Support Vessels. These vessels are now being used in the Gulf of Mexico as a Dive Support Vessels with a diving bells and decompression chambers.
I bring with me over 24 years as a Chief Engineer on a wide variety of vessels such as survey, AHTS,PSV’S, freighters, salvage vessel where I also acted as head diver, clam fishing, oil rigs, DSV, pipe layer, tankers and bulk carriers.
I was the preferred engineer in Secunda with regard to dry-docking and conversion work converting some vessels into DP 1 and latter into DP 2 class.
After 16 years with Secunda I have decided to explore new opportunities in my field or others that you feel I would be qualified to fulfill currently or in the near future. of vessels for different clients to ensure they meet the requirements in the
markets they are to enter. Recommend changes to ensure the vessels can

Working as Chief Engineer on a Factory Fishing Vsl. engaged in the
Fishing of deep sea clams. I was in charge of all mechanical equipment
in the Engine room and factory. Extensive hydraulics are involved in this
fishery. My primary job after the mechanical requirements was to bring
the computer system up to date with regard to HSE, inventories and
maintenance requirements so that the ship could operate effectively. This
was a contract position for 1 year and was completed to my employers
satisfaction. I left to return to the DP vessels that I prefer.
