Main responsibilities as roustabout included banksman/slinging, lifting operations with supply boats and drilling equipment for drill floor, general deck lifts, relief work for drill floor, shakers, maintenance, good housekeeping and painting. As roughneck, main responsibilities included carrying out drilling operations in a safe and controlled manner including tripping pipe, use of tongs and iron roughneck, making and breaking of tool joints/BHA. Pull and set slips, equipment maintenance, man-riding operations. I worked in the shakers and am familiar with blow-out procedures and inspection of drill string. In both positions, I always demonstrated excellent communication skills, team working and followed the correct health and safety procedures.
