I have been working with the Yemen LNG Company (through the contractor IPEDEX) on their Training project for over a year. I worked with M/s. Qatar Petroleum in NGL plants for over 8 years. I also have 12 years experience in industries such as petrochemicals and power generation, in electrical field for testing, commissioning and maintenance. The enclosed CV is a summary of my background and experience.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

JULY 2006 – PRESENT
M/S. YEMEN LNG
THROUGH THE CONTRACTOR: IPEDEX, ABU DHABI
POSITION: ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTOR
WORKING SCHEDULE: ROTATION OF 4 WEEKS ON AND 4 WEEKS OFF (12 HRS X 7 DAYS)

Yemen LNG profile: The Yemen LNG plant and the loading port site are located in the southern part of Republic of Yemen. The production of the two LNG trains will be 6.7 mtpa. The first shipment of LNG will be at the end of 2008. In the Sana’a Training Center, where approximately 200 Yemeni technical professionals will be trained over the three years from 2006, for core positions at its Balhaf terminal.

Responsibilities include according to the TOTAL standards:
• Reporting to Training Coordinator
• Set-up electrical subject syllabus for common course and prepared training materials like booklets, power point presentations, weekly quiz under common course through validation process
• Prepared performance reports of individual trainee after common course and recommending them for specific course on basis of quiz result, attitude, participation, communication, team spirit, adaptability, maturity, potential, etc…
• Established training workshops for trade specific course and conducted all planned modules of electrical equipment, machines, devices, etc…
• Teaching aid by hands-on practical demonstration and providing reference documents from PRODOM (project documentation)
• Continuous assessment during the course using Task Based Assessment (TBA) method
• Coaching and mentoring on the job training activities ensuring achievement of training objectives and providing guidance as required
• Promoting and contributing the company’s safety rules and regulations at the Training Centre and at work sites. Conducted PTW familiarization course for all experts of YLNG.

WORKING SCHEDULE: RESIDENTIAL (40 HRS / WEEK)

QP profile: QP is a state-owned corporation established in the State of Qatar for oil and gas production, processing and export.

Responsibilities include:
• Supervising commissioning field activities, prepared the commissioning dossiers, ensures safe execution of all commissioning activities through the application of the work permit procedure and coordinated activities of vendor representatives and subcontractors for sub-stations with voltage levels of up to 33 kV feeding to existing NGL plants, gas sweetening facilities as well as new storage & loading facilities.
• As a project professional, having knowledge of installation and commissioning of the following equipment/systems:
o Sub-stations up to 33 kV and switchyard up to 132 kV
o Various systems like UPS, lighting, fire & gas alarm system
o AC/DC power supplies, heat tracing, cathodic protection, microprocessor based protection relays, monitoring drives, etc…
• Supervising, coordinating and participating in the plant maintenance activities including general, corrective, preventive, shutdown and breakdown works of electrical equipment installed in NGL plants, storage & loading areas
• As an operation and maintenance professional, fully conversant with the following equipment handled, as per the vendor requirements and international standards.
o Schneider, GE, ABB, Siemens, L&T etc… for HV & LV switchgear, distribution boards and protective relays
o Areva (Alstom) for digital management system (DMS) and Schneider (Merlin Gerin, Modicon & Telemechanique) for micro-processor-based relays, PLCs, control modules and gateways
o Schneider for relays: SEPAM-1000, 1000+, 2000 relays like S20/21, S40/41, D22, T07/15, G40/41 etc… GE for relays: 369, 489, 750, MIV, MIF, DIACA etc…
o EEx HT/LT motors, cryogenic submersible pump-motors, etc…
o Chloride for 2x100 kVA UPS, battery chargers and batteries
o Caterpillar for DG sets, diesel engine driven fire water pumps, air compressor and its control panel
o Rotork, BIFFI, AUMA, Nuovo Pignone etc… for different logically operated electrical actuators and STAHL for electrical operated crane with a capacity of 100 tons
• Working knowledge of DMS, PCS, PLC and DCS
o [email protected] system manager for IMCC network controlling
o Uploading/downloading data from protective relays and network buses for setting review and fault diagnoses
• Observation of organization’s safe work rules and regulation using work permits like cold, hot, spark potential, along with necessary isolation/de-isolation certificates like PRC, LOA, EW, DTC, excavation and coordinating for mechanical isolation, scaffolding as and when required under PTW system
• Plan and supervise workshop services in support of maintenance and project activities. Schedule and supervise day-to-day workshop activities, decide priorities and provide tool-box talk, standards and materials required
• Reviewing monthly and shutdown maintenance plan using SAP, preparing weekly schedule for daily work execution on priority bases under PTW system
• Receiving job notification through SAP and discuss detailed work steps with operation and maintenance departments for safe execution of work
• Monitor and follow up to ensure all work is carried out to high technical and company safety standards in production/storage/loading and workshop areas
• Supervise the HV/LV electrical distribution switchgear for efficient operation of the power interconnection system
• Ensure availabilities of manpower, materials, tools and test equipment
• Investigate and troubleshoot maintenance problems, implement fault-finding procedures, diagnose problems and take appropriate action including devising and implementing solutions, referring to other disciplines, recommending external expert assistance and preparing reports
• Issue fault diagnosis reports on status of electrical equipment. Preparing daily activity report on all subordinate work. Submitting feedback on all activities
• Participate in preparation of the department budget
• Estimate and ensure the provision of spare parts, materials, tools, consumables and support services and prepare stores/purchase requisitions, raises material reservation through SAP
• Review bids received for the supply of materials & men-power, technical evaluation and recommendation for acceptable vendor
• Established maintenance scope of work, start-up and shut-down procedures, isolation & de-isolation procedures, material specifications, diagrams/sketches using engineering standards, completion time schedule, etc…
• Supervise maintenance and modification work carried out by the contractors and address problem/queries/punch-list as required

GNFC Profile: GNFC is a state-owned organization established in the state of Gujarat, India having continuous processing plants of petrochemicals, fertilizers and captive power plants.

Responsibilities include:
• Inspection, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installation for CPP (2x25 MW), Methanol (300 MTD), Acetic Acid (300 MTD) and Formic Acid (60 MTD) project
• Carried out inspection and commissioning of electrical system with consultants DCPL and UHDE. Prepared punch list and coordinated to rectify all technical defects
• Partially responsible for smooth take over after completion of the project and prepared isolation/de-isolation procedures for all electrical equipment and the systems
• Provided inputs for maintenance procedures and specifications to achieve cost effective and quality maintenance with due emphasis on safety, ensuring minimum plant downtime and maximum equipment availability
