• I have worked with NIRMA LTD for 3 PROJECTS (1997 TO 2006)like LINEAR ALKYL BENZENE in 1997, N- PARAFFIN in 1999and HYDROGEN in 2000 under L&T in INDIA.
LAB Complex, having capacity of manufacturing 75000 MTPA of Linear Alkyl Benzene(DCS Plant) and 65000 MTPA N-Paraffin(DCS Plant) using latest eco-friendly technology from Ms. UOP Inc. U.S.A. Also, Hydrogen Plant(DCS Plant) having capacity of 2200 NCMH. supplied by Ms. Linde Process Technology.

Operating Experience:

Operating experience of the following process of LAB Plant, N-Paraffine Plant & Hydrogen Plant:
UOP-Prefractionation Unit:- High temperature (140-245°C) & low pressure stripping reaction from kerosene feed & getting Heart Cut (C10 TO C13).
UOP-Unionfining UnitHydrotrating Unit:- High temperature (311-375°C) & High pressure (85 ksc) gas & liquid mixed phase hydrogenation reaction using Ni- Mox catalyst for kerosene desulphurisation for removing sulphur, nitrogen, metals, oxygen, halides & olefin saturation. The hydrotreater consists of multiple reactor beds with inlet diffuser, top liquid distributor tray, quench zone & outlet collector for two phase(gas-liquid) flow regime.
UOP-Molex Unit:- Selective absorption (physical) of N-Paraffin at moderate temperature (177°C) & pressure (25 Ksc) from sweetened Kerosene using molecular sieves. It is simulated moving bed system with solid absorbent moving upward & liquid moving downward using UOP patented rotary valve, governed by Absorbent Chamber Control System(ACCS).
Catalytic Steam Reforming Reaction (Hydrogen Plant):- High temperature (800-865°C) & High pressure (25 Ksc) Naptha reforming reaction using Ni-catalyst for hydrogen production. Naptha is being treated for sulphur removal with hydrodesulphuriser unit.
Sour Water Treatment:- Hydrogen sulfide & ammonia recovered from sour water (collected from “Hydrotreator Unit”) & used as fuel gas in hot oil heater & treated water is being used as condensate water & in hydrotreator unit for dilution of salt.
UOP PACOL Unit:- High temperature (465-505c) & low pressure gas phase dehydrogenation reaction using platinum on alumina catalyst for paraffin conversion to olefin.
UOP Define Unit:- Moderate temperature (180-220c) & high pressure (36ksc) liquid phase hydrogenation reaction using Ni-Mox catalyst.
UOP BENZENE EXTRACTION UNIT: Benzene extraction with extractive distillation using sulfolane as a lean solvent.
Special Achievement:
Involved in pre-commissioning, commissioning & start-up activities of N-Paraffin Plant & Hydrogen Plant.
Commissioning of UOP-Prefractionation, Unionfining Units, PACOL, PEP of LAB Plant and N-Paraffin Plant.
Commissioning activities include equipment assembling catalyst loading, reactor filling, absorber chamber filling, dry out of catalyst beds, dry out of charge heater refractory, etc.
Distillation columns, heat exchangers, fin-fan coolers inspection.
Pumps water run & m-seal conversion.
Loop filling with hydrocarbon & cold circulation of hydrocarbon.

Hot oil heater is supplied by M/s Foster Wheeler Ltd. - Canada, having capacity of 57 mmkcal.
Commissioning activities including radiation, convection section, hot oil surge drum erection, tubes installation, burners installation & inspection, FD fan, ID fan installation.
Heater dryout & Loop filling with hot oil.
Commissioning of IHI Compressor (IHI-Japan, Reciprocating Compressor).
Compressor boxup.
Acid pickling of suction and discharge line.
Commissioning of lube oil circuit.
Compressor heat run.
