General description of responsibilities/ tasks performed :

 Conduct Safety orientation to sustain the safety awareness among the employees.
 Conduct daily and weekly safety toolbox meeting.
 Train and educate workers on the job oriented safety requirement.
 Conduct safety inspection to ensure compliance to the work permit, PPE, housekeeping and other general safety requirement and report all safety violation/ non- compliance for corrective action.
 Conduct investigation on accident / incident & prepare report and advise safety measures to prevent recurrence.
 Take part in client driven safety walk-through /Audit.
 Conduct regular inspection of fire protection equipment to assure its proper placement and operational reliability.
 Monitor critical activities in chemical area and provide guidance for safe execution of the task.
 Monitor lifting activities to ensure compliance to the lift plan.
 Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to the project management for record
 Maintain record keeping for occupational injury report, inspection/ audit report and weekly/ monthly safety report.
 Ensure safety of person, material, equipment and healthy environment and maintain the safe working condition on site
 Maintain the MSDS of various chemical in use and advise the associated work force regarding the handling and storage.
 Conduct special audits on work permit ,confined space, scaffolding and etc.
 Prepare Job Safety Analysis on any Critical / risky activities including heavy lifting, confined spaces, working at heights, hot work under special conditions and etc, to ensure compliance with the required safety precaution.

Educational Qualification :

 Diploma in Fire and safety Engineering(IFE-UK) EUROTECH ACADEMY , Cochin, India, May 2003.
