I'm working with a typical gas production platform.It is self-sufficient in energy and water needs, housing electrical generation, water desalination and all of the equipment necessary to process gas such that it can be either delivered directly onshore by pipeline.Elements in the gas production process include wellheads, production manifold, production separator, glycol process to dry gas, gas compressor, pressure pumps for export condensate by pipeline.The content of H2S (Hydrogen Sulphurate) it is different from one well to other from 0.3% to 1.7%. The capacity of Sabratha Platform is 24 mil.scm gas per day.

Precommissioning and commissioning activities for crude oil processing units (separation, dehydration, desalting, stabilization, cooling and storage prior to export): punch list, air blowing, water flushing, reinstatement, tightness test, nitrogen purging, internal inspection of tanks , vessels, columns, furnace, test run for motors, pumps, compressors. Precommissioning activities for clusters: oil production wells , gas injection wells, water alternating gas injection wells, water injection wells. Start-up utilities: heating medium system, diesel oil system, fuel gas system, flare and vapour recovery system, instrument and plant air system , nitrogen generation system, produced water treatment system. Control Room Operator
I had used petrochemical industry specific equipment such as: Gas Compressors (piston and centrifugal), Newman, Humboldt, York. Pumps: (centrifugal, piston, liquid ring, etc.) KSB, SIHI, Allweiler, Uraca, Hammelman. Fans and blowers (centrifugal and piston). Centrifuges( Humboldth, Siebtechnic). Sieving machines (one layer or multiple layers) Gyroplane. Chilling units York, with centrifugal or piston compressor. Reactors with jacket and agitator, working in special conditions concerning the temperature and the pressure. Columns (with trays or filled with special materials). Gasholders, exchangers, vibrators, magnetic separators, filters, condensers, cyclones. The duties included monitoring and operating this type of equipment both, on control room and on the field (certain operations required operators' presence and action on the field). From control room I was monitoring the operating parameters (temperature, pressure, various other levels and flows) of the installation and operating the equipment according with the necessity of the process. The monitoring included maintaining the process within optimal quality and safety levels. The position included the need to decide whether the malfunction of the system, which can not be fixed while running, requires shut down and to execute this. When necessary I was involved in the decision to ask for assistance from electrical-instrument and maintenance departments. Certain emergency situation required the action on the field for manually controlling and operating the process. The position required communication with the operating field and other concerned departments through various means of communications such as: radio, radio telephony, telephone system etc. As field operator I was working under the supervision of the control panel operator and the job included: -Manually operating the field equipment according with the technological process; -Monitoring the field equipment and updating the control panel operator and field supervisor on any malfunction; -Collaborating with other departments for maintenance, scheduled maintenance and overhauling; providing safe conditions to avoid any dangerous situations for the maintenance teams and the installation (degassing, depressurizing, cooling, armoring pipelines). When the process required welding and soldering I was responsible for taking all the necessary precautions to avoid explosions and fires; -When unforeseen circumstances required the shut down of the system I was responsible to take all the necessary actions in order to avoid any further damage of the installation; -The job required permanent communication with the control room and the panel operator in order to operate and maintain the parameter within limits; -Periodically checking the functioning of the field equipment in order to maintain the safe operation of the equipment,
-The job included periodical courses on fire prevention, safety and first aid, use of breathing apparatus. I worked with a team comprising of various nationalities (Arabs, British, Indians, Pakistani, Germans, Polish, Hungarians, etc.) Electrical and electronic equipment was manufactured by various companies such as: ABB, Enders-Houser Honeywell DCS, Siemens, Pepperl + Fuchs, Foxboro etc
