I am a Health and Safety Officer with extensive experience in training, coaching and development of people. I have a technical background from the Oil and Gas industry having worked throughout the UK offshore and overseas on external customer premises. I am qualified with a NEBOSH General Certificate and am fully aware to successfully operate any health and safety policy you need buy in from the workforce. I am extremely customer focused and am experienced in working to tight deadlines within budget on projects which is paramount to finding cost effective solutions to EHS problems. I was time served as an Electronic Instrumentation Technician. In my previous role I had responsibility for running the Electronic Field Support Section. I was accountable for ensuring that all field operations were provided with the correct equipment, safety certified, to tight deadlines, procedures were adhered to and audits carried out on schedule as well as the implementation of new procedures and updating the relevant documentation. I also took care of risk assessments, internal and external customer liaison, planning, logistics, calibration, modification and repair of the electrical kit.
I have 10 years of experience of training with the BSAC (British Sub Aqua Club – the governing body for sport diving in UK) providing instruction in theory and practical skills. In this role, I have been responsible for the facilitation of entire skill development courses, including organising the venue, logistics of support equipment, safety, ensuring that the course material to be delivered by staff instructors was current, issuing joining instructions to staff and students, providing feedback to instructors and students as well as providing reports back to BSAC HQ.
My skills have also been used to provide instruction to permanent and contract workers within GE PII Pipeline Solutions, to train them in the required skills to carry out specific tasks both on site and on customer’s premises overseas and offshore.
