I have been a Mud Engineer since 1979. I was trained and employed by Magcobar in Houston Texas. I worked with Magcobar until 1986 when the price of oil dropped below $20 per BBL. I worked for two companies as an employee and then as a consultant. I hired on with Dowell Drilling Fluids in 1993 and stayed with them through their merge with IDF and then when they merged with MI Drilling Fluids. I worked as an employee with MI Swaco until March of 2006 at which time I began consulting for them. I have been working with the same Company, in Gabon for the last 13 years.
