I am a Post graduate and completed my degree in Master of Arts and Diploma in Network Centered Computing. I am a young, energetic and enthusiastic person with more than seven (7) years of professional work experience. Document Controller (July 2005 to-date)
Since July 2005, working as “Document Controller” with M/s. Chiyoda / Technip JV for their Qatar Gas II LNG Onshore Project.
• Process, reproduce, distribute, record and log of all incoming and outgoing drawings/documents.
• Issue and control of IDC (Inter Discipline Check) documents. Document monitoring and give reports to project and planning departments.
• Control of engineering input documents to procurement.
• Proper maintenance of vendor documents like technical drawings, operation manuals, and data sheets etc.
• Preparation and receipt of document transmittals.
• Maintain Drawing Issue Register and Incoming Drawing Register in the Computerized System.
• Controlling of superseded drawings/documents by replacement with the latest version and storing in a proper manner in which retrieval will be easy for future reference.
• Maintain QC records and ensure strict control of receipt, revisions and issue of these records.
• Maintain all code data records for all electrical equipment, instruments, mechanical and piping in accordance with code requirement.
• Maintain and Control of technical library, vendor catalogues and company brochures.
• Prepare and compile check out and hand over packages to be provided as a support service for electrical, mechanical, piping and control system groups.
• Preparation of Project turnover packages with completion of various site reports, commissioning reports.
• Archiving of the documents as directed by the authority to meet contract requirements.
Document Controller (July 2003 to June 2005)
Since July 2003 to June 2005 worked as “Document Controller” with M/s. Chiyoda/Technip JV “Debottlenecking Project” for Qatar Gas at Ras Laffan.
• Receive documents and other vendor information
• Check revisions, quality and quantity of the documents in accordance with accompanying transmittal.
• Data entry for all received information into the computerized system
• Distribution of document transmittal in a accordance to the distribution list.
• Filing of engineering documents by category wise and drawing number order.
• Filing of vendor information by purchase order number and control number.
• Report to Senior Document Controller of any discrepancies found in the transmittal and/or into drawing/document itself.
• Coordination with site supervisors for ensuring the current revision of the drawings/documents are in use.
• Reproduce and distribute drawings/documents as required by other discipline.
• Issue of drawings/documents to the client for approval.
• Prepare document transmittals.
• Maintain drawings received / issued register.
• Assist System Turnover Package documentation.
• Make sure that the original document stays in the Document Control.
• To ensure that superseded drawings/documents are removed from the active files and replaced with the latest revision.
• To file superseded drawings/documents separately in a manner in which retrieval will be easy for future reference.
• To assist other members of the group.
Apart from the routine jobs performing secretarial support to the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineers, preparing specifications, calculation sheets and data sheets, work progress reports, survey reports, minutes of meeting etc.
