I am writing to you with reference to your advertisement in “Oil Offshore Marine Website” for the post of a Piping / Pipeline Engineer. As you can see from my enclosed resume, my experience and qualifications match this position's requirements.

I would like to highlight at this time that I graduated from the renowned National Institute of Technology Calicut with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Further, I have passed ASNT NDT level-II in UT, RT, MPT and PT as per SNT-TC-1A and have completed Certificate course in Piping Design Technology from Gramya Research and Analysis Institute, Vadodra. I am also experienced in piping and planning softwares such as Integraph PDS, CAESAR II, AutoPIPE 6.0, PRIMAVERA 3.0, etc and have had the very good fortune of working side-by-side with seasoned technical personnel in the Middle East & India for the past 7 years.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. June 2000 till March 2001
Company : Gulf Coast Electromechanical Est.

Project : ADNOC Residential Complex, Ruwais, Abu-Dhabi.

My responsibilities included:
• Review client specification.
• Piping material take-off and estimation - (for potable water lines, Chiller plant lines)
• Review vendor document for all rotating and static equipment connected to pipe
• Preparation of material submittals for consultants approval
• Preparation of “as built drawings” for piping and related mechanical equipments
• Tracking and expediting of site equipments, materials and resources
• Site supervision (Potable water piping, drainage piping works)


2. March 2001 till October 2002
Company : Korea Heavy Industries & Construction Co. Ltd (HANJUNG).
Designation : Piping Engineer (QC)
Project : ADWEA Desalination Plant Station-B,
Umm-Al- Nar Refinery, Abu-Dhabi.

My responsibilities included:
• Review client specification.
• Prepare technical evaluation and technical clarification
• Finalize and checking piping drawing such as piping support and piping stress isometric to be in accordance with piping layout and P & ID.
• Notify the client’s representative (Mott MacDonald) for inspections of piping lines and related equipments in the Evaporator, Boiler and Remineralisation areas
• Installation and inspection of DI and GRP pipes
• Conduct inspections (visual, dimensions and thickness tests, etc.) with client’s representative and provide reports.
• Conduct line checking and pressure testing as a completion of construction stage.
• Coordinating activities of the site personnel and providing related technical assistance.


3. November 2002 till June 2004

My responsibilities included:
• Review of the specification, drawings, technical instruction, during work preparation stages.
• Checking of piping layouts & Isometrics connected to equipments.

4. Presently, working for TOLEDO E&M (www.toledo-contracting.com), AbuDhabi as a Mechanical Engineer (Piping) involved in the field of District Cooling, Oil & Gas and Industrial projects.

• Prepare cost estimating to establish project budget, mechanical and piping scope of work including detailed material take off, activity wise resource requirements, subcontracts, indirect costs, etc.
