At MV ”TAMERLANE”, the multipurpose RO/RO carrier of W. Wilhelmsen, we were equipped with Kongsberg – Norcontrol Integrated Data bridge. We were equipped with electronically vector zed charts from C-MAP Egersund, Norway. So I am familiar with working in Integrated Bridge Systems.

As Chief Officer I was responsible for Planning and supervision of Training of Deck Cadets onboard. I have experience in leadership of crises when I am in charge of Abandon Ship Drills and as co-ordinator of Pollution Drills onboard. I am also familiar with MOB – Boat use.

I speak and write English fluent and use English as work language in my job today.

2003 - 2006 HUAL AS / Hoegh Autoliners OSLO

Port Captain RO/RO/ Project Engineer, New buildings ( 17.03.2003 – 31.12.2005)

Port captain/Supercargo in Europe Outbound trades in all HUAL ports in Europe.
Responsible for planning and supervision of cargo operation on company’s PCTC in same area.

Have several months with same practise in Seoul, South – Korea. Responsible area here was China and Korean port supervision/ Planning. Returned to Seoul between 15.06-15.08-2005 for same practice for Hoegh Autoliners ( previous HUAL) During stay in Seoul act as company representative in South Korea.

Training of crew on safety matters, Cargo Quality matters and computer skills in same company with close co-operation with Hoegh Fleet Service Technical Superintendents.

From mid February 2005 to 15. July 2005 was applied by Leif Hoegh & co as Project Engineer for new building project in Daewoo shipyard, koje island. My task was supervision of RO/RO systems. This incl. Hydraulic systems, surface preparation and Paint Inspections, Marine systems, Fire fighting systems. This include test and commission of same. Are well known with Korean shipyards practice and procedures during building process.

1996-2003 Norsk Bemanning AS Lysaker/ OSLO

Chief Officer RO/RO/CONTAINER (30.05.01- 17.03.2003 )

Have sailed as Ch. Off on MV ”Tamerlane” from ship was delivered new from Daewoo Heavy Industries in Korea.
Have the overall responsibility of all practical maintenance on deck in close co-operation with the Ch. Eng.
Is responsible for all maintenance and follow up procedures on Life Saving Equipment.
Is responsible for all loading / discharging of the vessel in close co-operation with vessels Port Captain
Is responsible for all training and familiarisation of new crew onboard.
Is responsible for updating and following up procedures of all QA – System/files onboard.
Co-ordinator of Pollution Drills and Abandon ship Drills.

2 ND. Officer RO/RO/CONTAINER ( 13.01.99- 14.02.01)

Responsible Navigational Officer / Safety Officer
Responsible for making and updating of all Navigational Sailing Plans in close co-operation with the vessels Captain.
Responsible for all updating of Navigational Equipment, Navigational Publications and Navigational Charts.
Responsible for maintenance and renews of all Fire Fighting Equipment in close co-operation with the Ch. Eng.
Answers to Ch. Officer on all concerns regarding ships safety, Environment and Protection to crew.
Rescue Boat driver and Smoke Diver in Fire Fighting.

3 RD. Officer RO/RO/CONTAINER (30.11.96- 13.01.99)

Independent Navigational Officer in charge of own watch
Answers to Ch. Officer in all work and maintenance on Lifesaving Appliances

1985-1990: Fisherman in various Companies. (TRAWL/LONG LINERS)

Mainly on huge sea going Trawlers in North Sea and Barrens Sea and New Zealand waters.

1989-1990: Naval Duty in Norway, 15 months mandatory training.

1,5 month of Basic Training in Stavanger.
