CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Dear sirs,
I have recently been working for Grant Geophysical in Egypt within the survey department (Jan 18th ’07-November 7th ‘07) on a marine seismic crew. I was involved in navigational processing and mapping using GPS Seismic, GIS and AutoCAD.

Prior to this I worked as a CAD Draughtsman/ cartographer with Geo-Resources in Rotterdam, a consulting company to the oil industry. I created oceanic charts to show seismic images and bathymetry. This involved the use of AutoCAD and Surfer and other presentational software. I also was involved in preparing 3D engineering drawings from working drawings and taking measurements for the company’s drilling equipment.

For the last 3 years I have been a land surveyor, so I am used to handling and using theodolite and GPS equipment to produce accurate plans of terrain, elevations of buildings, floor plans etc, using AutoCAD for finished plots and SDR for processing of raw data files.

I am able to use processing and presentational software (e.g. CAD, GIS, Surfer, Corel Draw, PhotoShop etc.), in order to produce accurate and professionally produced 2D or 3D charts, plans or maps from raw data.

I am willing to relocate, as I am currently lodging with my parents in Devon and am available to start work immediately.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

Grant Geophysical, Egypt Jan 18th ’07-November ‘07
My position is that of marine surveyor which involves processing of navigational data using GPS Seismic software and mapping using GIS software and AutoCAD. I have also been working in the field, which has involved navigating small boats to collect sonar data. The principle software has been Winfrog, used to navigate to positions within the seismic OBC spread and collect sonar positions. I have also learnt to perform sonardyning, which involves fixing of positions of OBC lines using a DOS program called Sonar Genieapp V3.07. I have also been a chase boat coordinator which has involved the use of Fugro Radar, GPS and radio communication. I have received HSE management course 1999 OGP/IACC Competence Assessment.

Geo-Resources (through Seis-Tech agency), Rotterdam, Holland 04/06-11/06.
I was responsible for producing sea charts using AutoCad 2004 for Geo-Resources consultants to the oil industry. This involved taking seismic images and bathymetric information to produce sea bed features, bathymetry, and Isochron/Isopach charts at 1:5000 and 1:1000 scales. I helped develop a comprehensive legend of symbols for the company to use on all their sea charts. I also became familiar with Coral Draw and Surfer Software to process raw coordinate files. I was also asked to produce 3D engineering drawings of draught 2D paper technical drawings for the design workshop's vibra core, a device for taking core samples of the ocean floor.

A.P.R. Services, North London, Land Surveyor, 01/05-08/05
I have been involved with 2D and 3D topographical land surveys using Leica and Sokia theodolites and loggers, SDR Map software and AutoCad for finished presentation of drawings. I have also been involved with 3D laser scanning at an assistant level. Work has also included elevational drawings, monitoring, GPS, and setting out.

Paul Fassam Geomatics, Plymouth, Land Surveyor, 4/03-10/04
I was involved in all aspects of land surveying, using Leica theodolites and loggers, GPS, MOSS road surveys, building surveys, both internal and external, and topographical land surveys processed by SDR and presented by AutoCad. I have also been involved in airport surveys, which is the company’s specialty, which includes safety checks of flight surfaces.
