I have a diverse background in the Exploration & Production Geocomputing & Geoscience, data warehousing, and information management. I've worked in many different roles - from being a developer to operations.
As my CV shows clearly, I've worked internationally before, with a large part of my experience in Africa. I have worked in South Africa with Soeker E&P (now PetroSA) and in North Africa with Sonatrach and ETAP (while with Schlumberger).
I have a strong desire to return to work overseas (outside of North America) and believe I have the skillset and experience for many different roles in geocomputing, geoscience, operations, and information management.

Project Summary
Soeker E&P, Petroleum Agency - Geodetic/Cartography Project
• This project required moving all exploration software co-ordinates from the Cape Datum to the Hartebeestook94 Datum (WGS84).
• Conducted a site assessment in Cape Town, along with consultation with the University of Cape Town and appropriate government agencies.
• Assessed the cost of man hours was conducted, along with a detailed plan for software recommendations.
• Developed procedures to send out for product development.
• Reports results led to the implementation of a new grid in the GCRT filter (see below).
• The project was co-ordinated in Houston, software developed and modified in Austin, and then implemented late in 2002 in South Africa successfully.
GeoShare Cartographic Reprojection Tool (GCRT) Project
• Involved in the testing and development and modifications of the GCRT software.
• Developed software that allowed for the sharing of data between E&P applications using the GeoShare Data Model. The GCRT operated as an independent filter and allowed co-ordinate transformations and map projection information to be maintained or transformed when sharing data between E&P applications.
PDVSA Datum Project
• Acted as a consultant and reviewer of the documents and procedures to move PDVSA from the local PSAD56 datum to REGVEN (WGS84).
• Tools and Technologies used: GeoQuest, LandMark, and other third party packages.
Finder 8.5 to Finder 9.0 GDT/USGS Migration Project
• Aided the engineering and commercialization on scripts, routines, mapping between datum libraries, and testing of the software.
• Successfully completed the project and the routines for migration was implemented in the Finder 9.0 release.
Permitting and Releasing Database Project
• Wrote and migrated a large database from Ingres to Oracle successfully.
• Wrote the User Interface and Menus to allow daily entry and verification of data being entered.
• Completed the project on-time.
• Implemented the project upon completion.
