I am seeking Electrical Superintendent / Plan Approval Engineer position for your new-buildings program or for ships in operation. I bring with me extensive experience and knowledge related to LNG business that I believe can contribute to success of your clients new building projects.
I am confident that combination of my technical and administrative experiences will make me a suitable candidate for your new-building program.

My experience includes doing plan review, site supervision, attending factory acceptance tests, attending meetings with builders and vendors, attending dry dockings and dealing with ships in operation. I also have limited, six months, experience in interviewing and recruiting of sea going staff in Manila.

Plan approval engineer at
Qatar Gas Co. Doha – Qatar


• Subcontracted to QatarGas Co. in Doha, Qatar and relocated to Korea in July 2007
• Plan review of technical documents and drawings for series of 50+ LNG carriers built in Korea by three different shipyards
• Equipment included in plan review includes 6.6kV switch gear, power plant up to 17MW, integrated automation systems by Kongsberg and Honeywell, navigation and communication systems and cargo related systems including custody transfer systems and tank gauging.
• Clarify on behalf of the charterer and owner the technical matters arising from the interpretation of the Charter party agreement between owner of the vessel and charterer – Qatar Gas
• Review, independently from LNG carrier owner, the builders drawings, the selection of materials and equipment in order to ensure the compliance of the vessel design with the building contract
• Assess the scope and the impact on the cost, ship delivery and the performance of any modification to the building contract and specification.
• Attend factory acceptance tests of main equipment such as; generators, switchboards, engines, compressors, safety systems, automation and communication systems
• Attend gas and sea trials
• Provide the company with necessary advise and recommendations arising from such review
• Use the agreed electronic plan review and documentation system (CIMAGE) as prescribed by the company

Hoegh Fleet Services A/S


• As owners representative stationed in Poland, Korea, China and Japan to supervise new-building projects including RO-RO and LNG
• Preparing technical specification with focus on modern automation, navigation, communication and electrical systems
• Attending technical meetings with shipyard
• Evaluating manufacturers of different equipment and negotiating most favourable conditions in terms of technical solutions, extra spare parts and extended warranties.
• Drawing / plan approval
• Actively participating in evaluation and selection of shipyards
• Attending factory acceptance tests ensuring that machinery performs satisfactory and is constructed according to owners requirements and specifications.
• Gives final approval for installation and commissioning of all electrical, communication
and navigation equipment’s.
• Ensures that quality of installation and workmanship is satisfactory and to company
standard and that contract between owners and builders are complied with.
• Ensures that installation of equipment complies with relevant safety rules.
• Liase with suppliers of equipment’s and, subject to satisfactory inspection, approves
installation of it.
• Liase with classification society project manager and ensures that installation
complies with class and other relevant rules.
• Initiate investigations of alternative technical solutions for the purpose
of quality improvement in the vessel’s design and equipment.
• Reports to project manager but works and makes decisions independently.
