2006 (September) – Present:

MWD Engineer (DD trainee) – Baker Hughes INTEQ, Moscow – Far North, Western Siberia Russian Federation

I was employed as an MWD engineer for INTEQ in September 2006 with proposition to be moved on DD position.
After DD School in March-April 2007 I performed as MWD engineer because of emigration to Canada.
Except first hitch I performed as lead MWD with training as DD at the same time.
I was responsible of providing regular D&I as well as Gamma services for deep horizontal and S-shaped wells drilled in Far North (Komi region) and West Siberia (Novosibirsk, Noyabrsk regions). Amongst the tools that I managed were NaviTrack and SRIG (6 3/4” tools), motors M1 XL (8” and 6 3/4”). Our main clients were LUKoil-Sever, LUKoil-Komi, TNK-BP and Rosneft.

2003 (July) – 2006 (July):

MWD Engineer – Halliburton Sperry Drilling Services, Nizhnevartosk – Western Siberia Russian Federation

As an MWD engineer for Sperry, I performed as a lead engineer responsible of providing regular D&I as well as FEWD services for shallow horizontal wells drilled in Western Siberia. Amongst the most common tools that I managed were Slimphase 4 (9 jobs), PCD, PCG, ABI (on motor and sub added to Slimphase 4, one job with Fat FAD. Our main clients were TNK-BP, TNK-BP-SNG, TNK-Nizh, TNK-VNG, SPD (Salym Petroleum Development), Sibneft, Total, Ulyanvsk NefteGas, Varyogan Neftegas.

2001 (April) – 2003 (July):

Electronic Technician – Schlumberger Anadrill, Noyabirsk – Western Siberia – Russian Federation

I was involved in the electronic maintenance of Anadrill MWD and FEWD equipment, which included positive pulse and continuous wave telemetry MWD (SlimPulse and PowerPulse) as well as GR/array resistivity measurement tools (ARC4, ARC6). Amongst other responsibilities during this period were team SO (Safety Officer) and battery management within the maintenance base. Our main clients were Sibneft, Slavneft and Polar Lights.

2000 (Jul) – 2001 (Apr) :

Design Engineer – GERS (Geo Electronic Service, former Department of Tver Geophysics Institute), Tver – Russian Federation

I was involved in schematic and hardware design of:
- Acoustic Real Time project with following specifics:
1. Acoustic filters and portable Digital Radio Transmitter on Kelly
2. Radio Receivers with wire Booster Box on the rig
3. Wire Receiver and Com-port adapter for computer.
- Gamma-Neutron Formation Evaluation tool for logging on drill pipes.
- Communication box on a rig floor.
