2. Allow me to introduce myself briefly. I am 24 years old, male, holding a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering (B.Eng, Hons) from University Science of Malaysia with CGPA of 3.66/4.00 and graduated on May of 2007. During my four years of study, I have taken courses on semiconductors, metal, ceramics, composites and polymer.
I am currently working at Intel Technology Malaysia as a low yield analysis engineer. My job scopes including analyze the root cause of package failure/defect using various kind of equipment i.e. x-ray, time domain reflectometer, scanning acoustic microscope, FTIR, parametric analyzer, SEM and etc and eventually come out with the solution base on technical knowledge to increase the yield of whole production line.
I am able to work independently, confident, and manage time effectively in my current job and while doing my industrial training with UNISEM (M) Sdn Bhd and conducting my final year project in university. My final year project is related to semiconductor field. I believe that this placement opportunity may demonstrate the skills and further add up the knowledge in my future employment.
I believe my educational background and technical skills, limited though it may be, can be used to your advantage. Although my limited industrial experience, I believe I can fulfill company requirement as I am a fast learner and can work independently and hardworking.

Current employment at Intel Technology Malaysia as LYA (Low Yield Analysis) engineer at ATD-M (Assembly Technology
Development Malaysia). Job desciption including conduct failure analysis using C-SAM, X-ray, micro-probing, etc to study the root cause of package defect. Make sure that a package technology becomes certified and capable of meeting package technology and manufacturing goals in compliance with Technology Target Specification (TTS) requirement. Establishing package certification targets for yield. Monitoring overall yields and improvement plans against an overall yield improvement plan to achieve certification targets. Driving problem solving defect reduction teams for chronic yield losses problems for defect that have not been attributed to a specific module to resolve.
