I am a very hard worker and like to have a challenge now and then. I started my working career working on submarines and went over to working on FPSO's in the oil industry. By trade I am a qualified Mechanical Maintenance Fitter. I have been working as a Mechanical Technician the last five years. I'm also a qualified FRC coxswain and was a Safety rep for my previous company. Did stand in as a Lead tech for a time period and was the back up Emergency Response Team leader at my previous company. I am able to work under pressure. High personal integrity, and able to relate to and create trust in all. Highly articulate, confidant and persuasive team-builder, able to motivate and communicate to achieve exceptional business performance. Dependable and reliable. Currently working for Dietsmann on Kizomba “A” FPSO Angola Contracted to ExxonMobil

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

[ Sep 1996 – May 2002 ] South African Navy Simonstown
Apprentice then Artisan
 Did my Trade test as a Marine Mechanical Fitter in Simonstown Dock Yard in 1999.
 After trade test I volunteered for the Submarine service where I was a junior watchkeeper on auxiliary equipment as well as the diesel engine. Also performed maintenance duties on these equipment. Received a merit award for outstanding work performed.

[ June 2002 – Aug 2004 ] Bluewater Services. Offshore Mossel Bay
Mechanical Technician
 Performed duties in the old engine room on the marine boiler, pumps, fresh water generator, air compressor and marine diesel engines.
 On the production plant I did maintenance on a Wartsilla diesel engine as well as Solar turbine generators. Worked on different pumps and different equipment. Qualified to do switching on the marine and Solar generators. In the Engine room I ran the boiler and pumps for the systems outside. Worked on the Fresh water generator as well as the hydraulics for the crude offloading hose reel. Was also part of doing diesel and heavy fuel oil bunkering. Also overhauled PSV’s and valves on some of the equipment. Performed work on the centre lathe as well as some welding work.
 Was part of the emergency response team and was the standby ERT leader. Also performed Lead Tech duties in the instance where a permit was necessary to be closed or issued. Also closing out certain work orders.

[ Sep 2004 – to date ] Exxon Mobil Offshore Angola
Mechanical Technician
 Part of the Line handling boat crew. Duties include mooring tanker as well as calm buoy maintenance. Perform maintenance on the line boat.
 On the FPSO I perform various maintenance works on pumps, strainers, tanks and valves. Worked on Lewa pumps that were used for chemical and methanol injection. Overhauled Moyno pumps and Framo submerged pumps. Performed maintenance on the Inert Gas Generator. Worked on the turbines and compressors replacing certain parts. Worked on the Reverse Osmosis unit. Worked on the cranes that we have in replacing the different cables as well as some of the hydraulic pumps. Also performed maintenance on the platforms sewage treatment units. As expats we are asked also to teach the nationals and observe them in applying the work. Do vessel entry into the cargo tanks to remove and replace the Framo pumps.
