o Building, testing and overall management of the Drilling Fluids Systems according to the Customer’s required specs.
o Pilot testing of different systems in laboratory
o Creating and maintaining an inventory (daily) of Materials and Equipment used throughout an entire well (using spreadsheets etc.)
o Computer generated reports – Daily Costing; materials used; general operations; operations directly involving Drilling Fluids, etc.
o Computer generated recaps / summary reports at the end of each section of a well
o Identify problems encountered, generate solutions and make recommendations, etc.
o Head daily safety meetings
o Certain derrickman duties – Lining up surface tanks to rig pumps; for mixing etc.
 Mud Systems: Oil and Water Based
 Any other duties assigned from time to time
